I know its early, but I know we all have been thinking about what it will take to get into the playoffs.
Lets hear your thoughts, here's mine..

NFC North (1 Team)
GB

NFC South (2 Teams)
CAR
ATL

NFC West (2 Teams)
ARI
SEA

Which in my opinion leaves only 1 out of the East.

I think the only way 2 can come out of the East is if SEA or STL don't get it in.
I can see it coming down to week 17 for that 6th seed.

What are your thoughts?
Again I know its early, but just want to hear.

Carolina might have the softest schedule in the NFL so far this season. I know they're 4-0, but they just aren't very good.

It'll either be Carolina in or two teams from the East. I'll go with Dallas/Giants.

Speaking of the East, that Giants/Eagles game is going to be ugly. With the amount of players out/questionable for the Giants, they are a huge underdog.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Carolina fall off a cliff but truth be told we better win the damn division.

Really! Let's try to keep this on target about wins not playoffs!

I admit, it would be fun watching the Cowboys win the Super Bowl as a permanent roadie in the playoffs.

Maybe that's why I'm not as troubled as I should be by the early season drama and struggles. It could all be a setup for something special.

Right now the only teams that look like locks are Green Bay and Arizona but as u said its early and of course injuries happen..

ATL will continue to get exposed and tail off..

The Panthers, meh.. Cam is on fire though...

NFC east has a whole lotta maybes right now..

Seattle is an enigma again but they have been without Beastmode and Boom just got back...

The Rams are up and down...

The NFC South probably puts two in because NO and TB are both bad teams. The other wild card almost has to come from either the West or the North, because I don't think there's a particularly good team in the East right now much less two.

The West and South could get two. The North is only getting one based on play right now. The Vikings are meh.

Falcons, Packers, and Cardinals look like locks to make the playoffs (if all stay relatively healthy)...

Other than that, it's still anybody's to take... There are currently 9 NFC teams sitting at 2 wins, with the Vikings currently holding the advantage for the last WC spot because they have one less loss at 2-2...

Carolina will come crashing back to earth now that their schedule is getting tougher, but they are still real contenders for a WC... I'm not too worried about the Saints or Bucs staying in the WC race... I also expect Minnesota to fade out towards the end of the season, same with the Bears... Both Seattle and the Rams are real contenders for the WC... Which leaves the East... Unlike you, I think the teams in the East like the Eagles and Giants are better than the North teams like the Vikings and Bears... You would think that Seattle would be better than teams like the Eagles and Giants, but much like the Eagles, they appear to have lost their mojo... Other than that, I also think the Eagles and Giants are on par with the Rams... As for the Cowboys, they don't look like they could contend for anything lately, but both Dez and Romo should be back on the field for the last 7 games, and when at full strength, Dallas is as good or better than any of the other Wild Card contenders.

All I know is that I think Dallas will either win the division, or they will be a Wild Card, but they'll get in... We're still in decent shape in both the WC and division races, and we only have 4 more games without Romo, and probably less without Dez, and all 4 games are as winnable as any games on our schedule... Plus on paper, you would think that the schedule after Romo returns is full of games in which we'll be favored and probably should win...

Atlanta is counterfeit. We caught them riding high while we were severely limited. It's not only who you play but when you play them. Dallas should hope they get in the playoffs and get to face them.

To answer the OP question. Arizona and GB are locks. Seattle is probably going to find a way given their experience.

The rest is a complete crapshoot. Dallas needs to find a way to right the ship and find a way to somehow get to 9 wins. 9 wins will put you in good position to either win the East or earn a WC berth depending on tie breakers.

It's still very early so a lot can happen. The only thing that I can confidently predict is that 9 wins is where Dallas needs to reach for a playoff spot. Philly is a joker in the deck as I still see them as a threat to somehow get hot and to double digit wins.

I think the winner tomorrow (Giants at Eagles), will eventually be the East champ.
