Predict the roster?

When is the next predict the roster thread coming out?? It seemed like a good idea and its a very slow part of the offseason. just wondering.

I'll make a stab at it but I'm warning you I come up with 55 players who Parcells will want to keep. Since he can't, gotta wonder who gets cut.

Offense:

3 - QB - Bledsoe/Romo/Henson
3 - RB - Jones/Barber/Thompson (could be in trouble if he doesn't show some moves & Summers comes in/shows speed & moves particularly in preseason games & we can't safely get him to PS)
5 - WR - TO/Glenn/Crayton/Green. Copper could be in real fight to hold off Jamaica Rector and/or Tolliver & Hurd (latter could go to PS) and what about Crowder?; could Rector also challenge CB Nate Jones for 5th CB position?
4 - TE - Witten/Fasano/Hannam/Pierce (L/S)
0 - FB
10 - OL - Adams/Kosier/Johnson/Riveria/Fabini w/ Peterman/Gurode/Pettiti/ Colombo/Proctor - EJWhitely & McQuisten to PS (if Whitely should play surprising well as backup G/C he conceivably could land job on team ahead of Proctor (off PS) -- Whitely's got the size/smarts & can play all OL positions so Parcells might push him hard). We carried 9 OL last year/got in trouble; think Parcells carries 10 if Peterman not showing he good backup. Of course Proctor could be sent to PS for insurance latNumber of OL we keep

Total offense - 25

Special Team: Vanderjagt, McBriar, LaCouvier (sp?). Keeps a KO specialist on PS to develop while watching jag closely & might push TE Pierce L/S development so he won't need keep LaCouvier, particularly if need for KO specialist becomes obvious

Total 3 (for now)

Defense:

8 - DL - Spears/Ferguson/Canty w/ Ratliff/Johnson/Stanley/Ellis/Hatcher
8/9 - LB - Ware/Ayodell/James are set but Singleton/Carpenter might be up for grabs if Carpenter shows enough in TC to warrant starting/sharing large amount of playing time with Singleton (in last year of 4 yr contract). Backups Boiman/Burnett are assured but Thornton/Fowler/Shanle/UDFA Horne (could go to PS) must fight for last 1-2 positions. If 2 of these young LBs (particularly Thornton & Horne) show good upside, would Parcells keep 9 LBs or very reluctantly cut Singleton; it's also doubtful both Fowler & Shanle get cut.
5 - FS - Williams/Davis/Coleman/Watkins/Bierault
5 - CB - Newman/Henry/Glenn/Reeves but Jones could be in real fight against Byron Parker (could go to PS)

Total Defense - 27

Total Estimated Team - 55 (but we all know it has to be 53) so there will be some cuts -- and some surprising cuts just like last year. BTW: Don't believe DL Coleman makes it this year so already left him off.

So where do we make the 2 necessary cuts to get at 53. Of course this all predicated on development of some younger players, some of whom in 3rd year so now is the time for them. BTW: Reserve right to update this projection after conclusion of June minicamp. Ha.

I think it will be singleton and one of the safeties, possibly coleman. i might get hammered for saying this but i dont think beriault has a spot on this team. i would have no problem moving keith davis to SS in order to have him backup RW if he goes down then we still have watkins at FS and insurance in Coleman.

Sorry for not explaining myself...I meant the polls with all the different positions each day we had to pick who would make it that position, I think it was TruBlue that was posting them.
