This is how I see the playoff picture unfolding, the Bears will lose Sunday in New England, and they will lose 2 more games, at least. They will win their division, but they will not have home field advantage thru out the playoffs. Minnesota will be another loss, for sure.

The road for NFC teams will travel thru Texas Stadium, not Soldier Field.

You are assuming this team is going to continue to play completely flawlessly throughout the season. I would like it to happen, and it really could, but theres a chance something could go wrong.

We have to go to NY. We still play New Orleans. And Atlanta, as inconsistant as tehy are, can still be a threat.

Are we better than the latter 2 teams on that list? Yes. Are we on par with NY at this point, probably. But that doesn't mean we might not slip up at least once.

My prediction is Chicago grabs homefield. They've got a 2 game of lead (three if they beat New England) on uswith four weeks left. It would take an utter melt down for them not to get it and we arent exactly gonna win the tie breaker with a 1-3 division record. I think, however, we will grab the second seed and have a bye in the first round. This is assuming we continue to play like we are. Then, I think that Chicago will lose in its first playoff game. Yeah they're 9-1 but they havent shown me that they can beat the elite NFL teams. The only good teams they've beaten this year have been a Sean Alexanderless Seattle and a banged up New York Giants. So assuming we win our game the playoffs go through Dallas anyways.

The Bears have one of the easiest schedules in the league. The game this week will be good, but I really fail to see what other 2 games they would lose.

one thing good about this weeks game is Belicheck and the Pats will expose the Bears, this may be very beneficial to us if we do meet up with them in the playoffs. the reason why i say this is cause, BP has modeled our team to the Patriots.:starspin

I think Chicago will grab home field advantage, however their offense will be exposed in the Divisional game like it was last year. They'll lose.

The NFC Championship at Texas Stadium :)pray2:), Dallas Cowboys vs. Seattle Seahawks (They surge late).

I've been swept up by this Romo craze as anyone, but I'm still not taking anything for granted when it comes to the playoff picture.

Just too many variables. Frick ups. Injuries. Etc.

I think we have a valid chance at the No. 2 seed. I don't see Chicago losing grip of that top spot. No way, no how. If there were another team of Chicago's ability, I'd likely be confined to accepting the third seed. But the other division leaders are either inconsistent, injured or reeling, so I don't necessarily see a legitimate threat there to Chicago, any AFC playoff team or even potentially this team.

The Cowboys have to first beat New York though before anything is assumed as far as playoff positioning. Get that upper hand on New York and I think we might be able, as fans, to start looking ahead. But lose that game and we might be stuck to a wild-card spot.

IF we were to play Chicago in Chicago, I don't know what to think. It's an environment we're, as a team, not necessarily that used to. It'd be a rabid atmosphere. Chicago's defense is relentless. And their offense, while shaky on a week-to-week basis, is now capable of making the game-changing play. Not to mention their special teams rocks.

It'd be a fun matchup, though. Chicago's been the top dog in the conference all season. And while they've cooled down somewhat, that hasn't been reflected in the won-lost column. The Cowboys, meanwhile, are heating up after a mediocre start thanks to the change at quarterback. Suddenly, all those parts that made the Cowboys a popular preseason Super Bowl pick are playing up to the expectations.

Also interesting would be to see Grossman versus Romo. Two essentially untested playoff quarterbacks, but two young guys with immense promise.

this is why you cannot give games away....the games we have won this year...we have kicked the opponents tail up and down the field. But the Commanders game...geesh!!!!!!!!!! The Bears have some squeakers under thier belt. Anyway, it is going to be tough to win in Chicago in January...especially with a shaky field goal kicker and a less than stellar run game. If we face the Bears in the playoffs, that is a game where Parcells has to let the defense be agressive. I think the Bears are a mediocre outfit on offense. I think we can force some turnovers if we get after them. A mediocre outfit on offense like the Bears would hang around if we come out playing bend but don't break defense.

I agree with this. Yeah, I can see them losing to the Patriots, but not anyone left on their schedule after that. Maybe one surprise loss, but not two.

I think the Bears will get Home field thru out the playoffs... but I see them losing to Carolina in the second round..

Dallas vs Carolina in Texas Stadium for the NFC championship game.

Dallas Vs Chargers in the Superbowl.. the battle of the young guns.

Honestly all I can think about is beating the saints for now. I got too many friends in NO that are talkin none stop trash and have been all season about how they will wipe the floor with us. I just want to destroy them. tournemant or no, this season has already made me smile more than I ever thought it would. Good time to be a boy's fan after all those years of mediocrity

I'm in New York and I know some Giant fans who would be piiiiiiiiissssssseeeeedddd off at a Super Bowl between Romo and Rivers, after all they gave up for Manning and how much they hate the Boys

Ok... I will run with ya....

I would have been great if the Jets would have beaten Chicago....

I think Chicago will continue to pull back the reigns on Grossman and leave it up to the defense and control the clock... they may have dodged all their bullets in the regular season....

ok back to hope... I hope you are right :)

Let's see what we do against a desperate NYG team on the road before getting too carried away with various playoff scenarios. IF we do take care of NY, then I'd be surprised if we dont finish with 11 wins and likely the #2 seed. Unfortunately the loss @Washington cost us a chance to really give Chicago a run for the #1 seed.

It will help the Cowboys to see how the Bears respond to the Patriots.
