Yes. Romo did it, too. However, I've seen Manning talk about "protection issues" after a tough loss. After getting the crap beat out of him, I give Romo a pass.

However, Terrell Owens' track record speaks for itself. If the ship starts taking on water next year, like it did this year, Terrell Owens will be doing situps in his driveway.

This team isn't going anywhere until it stops revolving around a 36 year old, diva, WR. Owens is killing the lockerroom and the team, imo. He has taken a toll.

Yay....................i wasnt really worried about him going there,,,,,hes smarter than that

There's a difference between "not getting" a job and "not taking" a job. Garrett "not getting" the Lions job is not exactly a ringing endoresement unless he turned it down.

I'm glad he's staying, but he needs to earn than 3 mil a year he's making here, I for one don't by any of the bs excuses people are making for him or this team.

I agree Woody's Girl: Spagnuola will definately get a hard look from the Lions, but why do you think he hasn't snagged a top job yet? Weak interviewer maybe? I'm kind of surprised actually.........
He's only been on the coaching interview circuit one year. Not sure how many interviews he's actually had.

Not many people get the good jobs on the first time out. Sometimes it takes them awhile to find the right fit.

Take a look at Ken Whisenhunt's Steelers Offenses in 2006. 2007 he got the Cards job. 2008 he's in the NFC Championship.

Was he a rube in 2006 who got interviews he didn't deserve? Same logic.

Wasn't that the year Big Ben got into a wreck and had his appendix taking out a few weeks before the opener?

Dude played like crap all damn year.

Can't do much with a QB who turns the ball over left and right and takes about 2.5 sacks per game the way Big Ben does.

Hopefully not getting the jobs will make him a better OC because he feels he has something to prove. :crossed:

That's about the only positive that can come out of this... :banghead:

I don't want to turn this into an icut Owens thread, but Jason Garrett is probably coming back. Terrell Owens was very disrespectful to Garrett in the media. Owens layed blame on him. What other player in the NFL would get away with this? Owens is a "I confess, he did it" player.

Owens had problems with his OC at SF. He had problems with his OC in Philadelphia. He had "issues" with Garrett last year.

Jerry Jones could send a message to his young players and all his players by cutting him. We'll see if he has the guts to make the right move.

Prediction:

The Cowboys won't be winning anything significant any time soon, with this bunch of clowns as its coaching staff.

Sorry Garrett detractors.

I love your inside information.

And this is great news, regardless of what the haters say.

Or Tomlin and the Vikings 06 defense. They were ranked 14 in points given up, and 8 in yards given up. We were 18th in points, and 13 in offense this past year (Without Brad Johnson though, we are 11, and 4th)

Same logic. And I would bet that the majority of this board would take Tomlin as a head coach.

I agree. Garrett should return and maybe, just maybe be named our next HC eventually.

Sorry Garrett detractors.

Its cool Hostile, I know that I have been one of "Tecmo's" harshest critics on this board, but I dont blame him one bit for not going to Detroit.

That team freaking blows, has very little talent outside of Calvin Johnson. They need a QB in the worse way possible and just became the first team in NFL history to go 0-16.

No way in hell would I take that job.
