I agree with you on that prediction.

I think Terrell Owens' PR campaign against Jason Garrett makes it really risky to bring him back. That is cause, alone, to icut him. How do you think Jason Garrett felt about being blamed by Owens on national television or after games? No other player in the NFL could get away with the stuff Owens does.

Jerry,

Do Jason Garrett and your entire team a favor, cut iOwens. Send the team a message. iplayers can hit the road.

I would be happy if Garrett can work in peace and not have to appease that iselfish player.

Jerry said that if we cut any star players like TO that we would not be able to afford to give Ware his extension.

You willing to let Ware walk to get rid of TO???

That would be the trade off.

Its cool Hostile, I know that I have been one of "Tecmo's" harshest critics on this board, but I dont blame him one bit for not going to Detroit.

That team freaking blows, has very little talent outside of Calvin Johnson. They need a QB in the worse way possible and just became the first team in NFL history to go 0-16.

No way in hell would I take that job.
I would take that job in a heart beat.

3 picks in the top 33 picks. The day of the Draft they will have the best QB in the NFC North to go along with the best WR in the NFC North. A Defensive minded coach who may bring Chuck Cecil with him to be the DC. Take Defense with pick #20 and #33.

Detroit will make the playoffs in 2 years regardless of who they hire.

Thats arguable, but the fact is, anything the new coach does will be seen as a vast improvement. If he/she/it goes 2-14, its a huge step up from what they had.

I hope you're right about Garrett Hos. I do. I hope he turns everything around and next year sets the world on fire again.

I just don't see it. I don't see anything in what he did this year that makes me believe he's going to magically start gameplanning batter, adjusting better, and playcalling better, and using all of his talent (Jones and Choice along with Barber, getting all the WR's in the mix) properly to make this team better than what it is.

Is he suddenly going to realise that he needs to not abandon the run and use Choice and Jones more often? I hope so but I don't have any real faith that he will.

Maybe he'll be great next year, and he'll have learned a lot from this season, and I'll gladly be the first one in line to eat the crow next year, at seasons end, if he has.

Hopefully you'll be willing to do the same should he have yet another year like this last one but something tells me your decade plus man crush on the guy won't allow you to admit that. :p

I have heard and read other reports that differ from what Jerry Jones said. The organization is talking about it, so I'm holding out hope. Math isn't magic, but Stephen Jones needs to make it work.

DeMarcus Ware will be taken care of for sure.

I wouldn't say regardless. I mean it's not like they've had completely horrible talent the last few years and they weren't able to get to the playoffs so i think it very much makes a difference on who comes in on whether or not they're back in the playoffs within a couple of years or not.

Especially if their new GM winds up picking players in as stupid a fashion as Millen cause Detriot fans will right if 2 of those 3 picks are used on WR's. :p

Detroit will make the playoffs in 2 yrs????

I guess anything is possible, I never thought Arizona would be hosting the NFC Championship game.

I do agree that they go with a defensive coach, that seems to be the theme with the teams looking for coaches right now.

Sporano to Jets I am predicting also. (Thank God he will no longer be in the East)!!!!

Tecmo owns him. Garrett is 4-1 with Romo as the quarterback. The Giants got lucky and won the playoff game.

I hope you are wrong, but you are probably right. I will say it again. This team will not be a team until iOwens is gone. We will continue to watch teams like the Titans succeed with less offensive talent.

If Tecmo is staying, he needs to get an "expansion pack" for 09!!!!

We need to challenge him to a Tecmo duel and make him play with the Chiefs.:)

I think and hope Garrett can make the adjustments with the structure and philosophy of this offense but not having Terrell Owens would allow the ball to be sprayed around freely. The ball doesn't need to just go to Witten, Owens, and Barber. It needs to go to Barber and Felix, Witten and Bennett, Williams and Austin, ect... You still have Choice and Crayton.

I am very interested in the Owens situation. Jerry does really think highly of Tecmo. He pretty much promised him the keys to the car. Owens is Jerry's pet. Jerry's pet threw his Red Headed Genius overboard. The other players know Owens gets away with anything. This team needs big changes. It needs to be shook up. Cutting iOwens would send this team a message or two. If the organization will not put up with Jerry's pet (or iOwens), then, I better not get in trouble with the law or act a fool on the sidelines or disrespect other players or coaches. The other players will "get it" if Jerry cuts his pet. "No player" is safe from acting like a fool and splitting the lockerroom.

I don't know, but I bet Tecmo is sick of Owens. Please, Tecmo, tell Jerry to icut him before the team implodes or goes 9-7 again and misses the playoffs.

Salisbury Steak was on with local NBC sports anchor (Newy) and he said that T.O. doesn't have to go. Said T.O. is not the only problem. He said Dallas needs to address all their problems and come together as a team.

Finally, he said T.O. can obviously still play so Dallas would be wise to keep him around.

Are you talking about Sean "Cell Phone" Salisbury?

That might be the best argument yet for letting TO go.

You dont think they'll go Oline to try and shore that up??? Their line has been horrendous the past few years IIRC.

I think they might snag Andre Smith number one overall and try and build from the inside out.

If the Pat's dont franchise/resign Cassell, I could see Detroit giving him a rich contract and going Oline and then defense. That's nothing but speculation by me though.

I am by no means a scout, but I dont like this years class of QB's.
