You can't deny there are question marks surrounding Garrett and Wade. And some players as well. They are always more question marks when things aren't going well.
I can give Garrett a pass if I believe the OL went from very good to not so good for whatever reasons. And I can reinforce that with the belief Romo is playing poorly by not protecting the ball. It's obviously not that simple esp with Romo's injury and the OL questions.
My guess is the NFL did catch up with Garrett's offense some. And perhaps he didn't adapt as well as a more experienced and if I may say better coach would have. Add in the loss of Felix, Austin, Kosier, and Barber along with the loss of Romo for three games, then you have a recipe for problems.
My problems with Garrett are one he failed for the second year in a row. Yes, he got the offense to record levels but it failed at the end last year just as it did this year. Secondly players are faulting the offensive scheme or appear to do so. Lastly we are being told by other teams they knew what we were doing and DBs were running our routes. There's more but that's enough.
I can't comment on intangibles such as team chemistry and relative strengths of leadership and ability to coach players because I'm not there and I'm not going to bother probing for inside info. The team is having problems foremost in not winning enough. It's up to them to discover problems, plan on remedies for all, and implement them in a satisfactory manner to reach their goals. As much as I'd like to point the finger at one problem that's too simplistic.
