We are facing another solid run D again this week. So before everyone starts worrying about our running game. Stop and realise that for the 4th week we are facing a defense that holds it's opponent to less the 4 yards a carry. And guess what? We will be in the same situation in game #5 as well....yep that's right...not until Game #6 and after the bye will we face truly weak run D. If we do not see a higher impact in that game then yes I will be concerned. What does this mean? We do not yet have a running game that can impose it's will on a defense, but it is strong enough to provide balance and keep defenses honest.
But there is good news and there is no Gekko involved hehe. Even though Oakland does not gives up alot yardage wise on the groud they do give up points on the ground (5 TD's). So if we can move well between the 20's our red zone efficiency should be good. And honestly this is probably why they are 0-3.
