It was as bad as it looked.

New center. UDFA T.

And new OL coach.

The last time we got a new oline coach, he set the oline back. Any new coach putting in a new system will set the team back until they ramp up.

So, what can we do about it? We are waiting for La'el to come back, however, will he really solve all the issues? We may need to begin rebuilding this O-line faster than we think. Piece by piece.
Sign Warford and move Connor to RT until La’el comes back.

Dak haters will say the oline not blocking is Dak fault.
Exactly. They have certainly redefined what QBs get blamed for. Every sack is now the QBs fault. If a receiver has to make any adjustment to catch a ball they shouldn’t be expected to catch it. If the RB gets hit in the backfield it is because the defense isn’t scared of the QB. Playing in bad weather conditions is still no excuse for an offense to struggle, etc, etc.

But it really only applies to Dak. Those are still valid excuses for other QBs. Then they will argue they don’t hate Dak, they just really believe he isn’t an elite QB.

If Romo was still our QB the offensive line would be under attack today.

I think that the OL has been under attack, to be honest. It's just that we, as fans, know that Nothe OL is starting from a position of compromise with the whole Fredbeard thing, continues minor injuries to Smitty and the longer term injury to Collins. We basically kind of expect some issues there so I don't think it gets the attention it might, otherwise but that is not to say that it is not being discussed.

Now, if Romo was still the QB, he would likely adapt to these issues a bit better because his game was better suited to that. Still wouldn't be good and I don't know that you can win a championship, even with Romo, under those conditions but it is what it is.

if Romo was our QB he would have scrambled faster and had better pocket awareness - not to mention we would be 1-0
Yep, except for all the times he couldn’t do that and we lost and it was never his fault because he was “running for his life”. Poor one man show vs 53 on the other side.
