I dont think it proves anything except the obvious...that our OL stinks beyond belief and that our kicker sux

and those two things can cost you playoff spots or chances at legit January runs

Rich Eisen calls this a "problem". He says that we choked again. As if we were winning until the end.

I would rather have this problem then to get blown out every other week.

and ya know db, it's amazing when you consider that the philosophy is ball contol/field position that our O-Line and PK are not good.

Well, kicker has been a bad problem for years, and the OL is not good, but there are few teams in the league that don't have obvious weak points. I just thought we might get smoked in this one, ala the 03 Dolphins debacle- so that makes me think the team is not as bad as (despite the good record) I thought they were.

I think Houck was the best line coach we've ever had. Hands down.

Regarding place kicking...I couldn't understand all the excitement over Cundiff being signed...he's always been too inconsistent.

Today was a shame...and in my eyes a dangerous one. We don't want this losing close stuff to become a habit. Today, if we won, I think we would have been damn near unstoppable for the rest of the season.

I agree Juke, although Tony Wise should get some props for the AWESOME job he did from 89-92...

but today could have been a huge momentum builder for the rest of the season...instead its "gee we blew another close one we should have won"

with as bad as the OL is I'll be surprised if we make the playoffs at this point...at one point it looked like a lock for the NFC East to have two teams in the playoffs, now I am not so sure....the Giants have a better OL, a better kicker and a more favorable schedule than us...if we dont beat them up there the season might be over
