from an outsiders perspective I would not want him on my team. The guy has a world of talent but a ten cent head. This stuff that he is passionate about the game and could not take it anymore is just the same entitlement attitude he has had his entire life. Now it includes his coach that says he just wants to win and gets so emotions. I would say that 99.9% of the players that play in the NFL have passion to play the game and that includes the entire Cowboy team. Bryant has no more passion to play the game than most any other NFL player. He just plays like an entitled undisciplined brat. Does anyone actually believe that Bryant has more passion about the game than Jordy Nelson who can make every catch that Dez Bryant can make without the diva attitude and getting into pissing matches on the sidelines. It isn't even close. Bryant is TO V2. Glad he is not on my favorite team.

If you had been a huge fan of the Cowboys your entire life and had to watch the amount of BS that we have, you would furious and disgusted with this team just like Dez and all of us are. It's about time that someone shows some emotion on this team, it is something that has been lacking here for far too long. If Dez was really selfish, he would have been happy with his personal stat line, but instead he was upset that the team did not win

You really can't compare Jordy Nelson to Dez Bryant. Nelson is in a stable environment in Green Bay. He doesn't have to deal with half the nonsense Dez has to put up with.

I'll use this analogy and it's partially true because of how Dez was raised.

Situation A: The Packers are a nice stable two family home in the suburbs. Food is always on the table, the heat is always on, and the children have new clothes to wear to school.

Situation B: The Cowboys are a single parent household in inner city Detroit with the mom struggling to make ends meet and the deadbeat dad in and out of prison. Food is hard to come across, the heat and electricity may be shut off at a moment's notice and the children are wearing hand-me downs.

If you have to live in situation B you're probably going to snap from time to time because of the environment that you're mired in. I'm not saying it's right but that a player is more prone to snap if they are stuck in a perpetually bad situation.

Nelson has a ring. He has a head coach who knows how to manage a game. He has one of the top 3 QBs in the game. And he has a front office that knows how to build a team and one that will be held accountable if they fail to do their job properly.

Screw Ditka. I'm so sick of that self righteous dbag. Go trade all your draft picks for Ricky Williams and shutup already. Yeah I'd love to see Ditka suspend his star player in the middle of trying to when the division. Fat chance.

You said it right, stay thirsty my friend. Ditka is a old fool.

Simply can't have a player walking off the field before the game is over. As Ditka said this morning, if you're a serious team, you suspend him.

But a move like that fits right in down in Jerry world.

If everyone on the team played as hard as DEZ the Cowboys would win each and every game. Again Dez is not the problem.

I have to say after watching him on the sideline today, no way this kid stays here, and i dont blame him at all. Say goodbye to one of the most talented receivers we have had here since Irvin.

So wait. His contract is up after last game? Strange

He will thow one too many tantrums on the sidelines. The fans will eventually get down on him and he will sulk and that might be the beginning of the end for him here.

Dez us in a lose lose. If he resigns for big money hell never win anything. If he gets franchised he will be a desean Jackson/Hakeem nicks headcase. You don't franchise receivers ever!!!!!

When Dez walks off early, what he is saying is: "I am special. I want to win more than anyone. Look at me, I am sensitive and am walking away. Someone needs to go after me and say 'Dez, we know you are special and you are passionate and you are emotional and stuff. Please, show us the whey.' "

No he sees a coach squaders a 23 point lead with his questionable play calling then he blames romo for calling a pass instead of running the ball !! I hope he leaves so you all have miles austin he smiles after every drop so you sll be happy

No. I won't be happy. I and no one here is blaming Dez for the loss, just blaming him for acting in a selfish look-at-me-the-diva kinda way that he half. that is Pop Warner league stuff and you know it. What coach wants that kind of guy on the team. Skill obviously does not come with maturity when it comes to Dez. He needs parental guidance and life skills now than later. So sorry he didn't learn how to be a man before he left college. Or maybe Deion stopped his growth.

Or, "don't feed me the company line, I am pissed, I've heard the upcoming justifications before"

But it is so precious the way management defend grown men who don't know how to act grown.
Anyone here in their workaday jobs if he or she walk off the job -- even for a minute -- you are gone and consigned to watch Judge Judy on daytime TV instead of being employed.
But I guess the difference is that guys like Dez are "competitors" and are special, unlike the rest of the working world.

Since when are professional athletes, or NFL players part of the "regular" working world? I get your general point though but feel Dez is warranted due to the lack of structure or direction from the coaching staff. Nelson has McCarthy...and faith in the direction of the team, even if the current game or season isn't going as planned.

You are so correct: NFL players are not like the rest of us. If so, they'd be tied to the same set of social rules the rest of us endure.
As to structure and direction lacking from the coaching staff, Garrett, et. al bend over backward to massage his ego and downplay his transgressions. So that might too be part of his lack of direction.

Ditto on whats dez ever won. Just cause he has tantrums on the sideline and throws **** he suddenly is this consumate winner and he takes losing worse than anyone else on the team. Please. Be a man. Shake your opponents hand, look him in the eye and say good game. Dont storm off like some 16 year old girl who got grounded from her car.
