NEW YORK -- The NFL's Pro Bowl drew its best ratings in eight years.

Sunday's game on FOX earned a 6.3 rating and a 12 share. That's up 37 percent from last year's 4.6. It's the highest Pro Bowl rating since the game attracted an 8.6 in 2000.

The rating is the percentage of homes with televisions watching a broadcast, and the share is the percentage watching among those with the TV on at the time.

Could it be because the Cowboys had 13 players participating?

I think so.

Agree that I also watched the pro bowl because of so many Cowboys there. I wanted to see Romo, TO, Witten, Barber, etc. once more before the dull offseason began. Actually I thought it was a really good game; so many of those pro bowl games are boring but this one was different and apparently many others shared my view. Of course it helped that Romo was the starter and throw 2 TDs, one to TO & the other to Fitz who I'd love to have on our team. My fondest wish is that Fitz unwilling to restructure his contract enough to help Cards cap so they forced cut him or trade him to us -- of course he'd agree to the trade and work out contract arrangement with us to fit within our cap. Realize it is all a pipe dream but I can hope.

BTW: I don't want Chad Johnson. Romo has enough to deal with keeping TO happy. Last thing he needs is another whiny WR who gets upset cause he's not getting enough balls thrown to him.

1. The Patriots-Giants superbowl breaking all kinds of ratings records is also because of the Cowboys
2. The Giants-Packers championship game breaking all kinds of records was also because of the Cowboys.
3. The Giants-Patriots game breaking all kinds of ratings records in the regular season was also because of the cowboys

Do you all realize that the most watched games this year all involved either the Patriots or the Giants? I find it hilarious that every time "ratings" is involved, this message board attributes it to the Cowboys aka "America's team". Yeah, okay. Perhaps that's why all games that broke records involved mostly Giants or Patriots.

Actually, I can find several articles attributing record-breaking ratings to the Cowboys. So your theory that it somehow only involves the Pats or the Giants is just a WEE bit flawed.

And what's your reasoning when there was only one Giants player and six anonymous Pats.

Do you realize that the Cowboys are often part of the most watched games. It took over 10 years to break the Superbowl record established by the Cowboys/Steelers back in 96' Considering population increases and yet it still took ten years.

Imagine what it would have been like if it ended up being Cowboys/Patriots. It would have smashed the 97.5 million viewers it ended up with.

Stop staring at our ***. I know it's hard since you and your Foreskins are always trailing us.

All I can say is.... I watched the Pro Bowl. And it was pretty good, actually, for a Pro Bowl.

It was cool seeing that many Cowboys players on the Pro Bowl roster, which is why I originally watched it.

But I think I will watch any Pro Bowl from now on..... so long as Adrian Peterson is involved.

Good god.
