LOS ANGELES – While much of the NFL world focused on the opening of free agency Tuesday, scouts, coaches and managers are still keeping an eye on the next crop of football talent as college Pro Days are well under way.

With the Combine behind them, these individual Pro Days afford college prospects another opportunity to showcase their skills in front of professional teams before the 2015 NFL Draft begins on April 30.

Today, Daily Bruin UCLA football beat writer Jordan Lee (@jordantlee) offers his take on UCLA’s Pro Day where much of the attention was focused on the defensive side of the ball, led by defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa and linebacker Eric Kendricks.

He likely is a possible target for the Cowboys...but after his combine & pro day, he could rise a bit out of reach. Concerns of teams may be is he primarily a workout warrior, and the injuries. Personally, I think he's one of the players worth a look at 27 if available...and depending on how things go between now & the draft.

I just dont think he is a natural pass rusher,he might have a career like Spencer but we also have to consider his injury history.

Disagree. I think he is a natural pass rusher
. Believe I read that the system required him to read and react

This has been the guy who I want most at #27, but the uncertainty at the RB position has me looking in that direction.

I'd feel better about him at 60 than 27.

Who wouldn't?

But after he ran a 4.6 40 @ the combine....I think he's our target @ 27. Been warming up to the idea....

LDE- Hardy/Spencer

NT- Brent/Bishop/Christian Covington DT Rice

#DT-Crawford/Mincey/Coleman

RDE- Owamagbe Odighizuwa DE UCLA /Lawerence

I trade down, pick up Ajayi, Preston Smith and an extra 4th

I would trade down and Owa might still be there. I don t think k Owa is best of the left side. I think he is best on right side.

I'm all for preston smith and a rb And adding a pick. Hopefully a 3rd and not a 4th.

I'm more of a telvin coleman Not big on Ajayi. He fumbles to much and tries to bounce outside. Dallas like inside zone runners

I really like this player. The hip issue is my only concern.

I hear Bud Dupree lit it up at his pro day as well.

I think Dupree will be gone by #27 but Owamagbe Odighizuwa may just be there for us, just depends if there is a run on rushers before we pick.

If he is gone too, then RB and CB may be the best value at #27.

I think OO and Harold go before 27 with E. Harold being more likely to make it to us. Pass rushers tend to shoot up the board and there are several, several project OTs that could slide along with the RBs.
