Prescott’s injury, as expected, pushed several of the other problems, and just as pressing, to the background.

The trenches were flat whipped last night on both sides of the ball. Looks like the alarm going off on TB’s OL issues was a false one. The Cowboys OL is still a work in progress, if it progresses at all. The DL was handled all night by a no name TB OL, missing their LT early in the game.

It is difficult to evaluate the WR corps because the QB had one of his worst games in his career and had the deer in the headlights look for most of the game. I heard some boos from the crowd on that one really bad pass.

The play calling, on both sides of the ball, was poor. And these two coaches are what the team has to depend on to just go .500 for the next 6-8 games.

It is still too early to call but the other 3 East teams played as teams much better than Cowboys did last night. Now, they have to come together with an OL worse than they started last night and their leader not on the field.

The only way to stay afloat is to run the ball and stop the run. And Quinn needs to impress on his star that stopping the run is more important than getting sacks.

Any NFL team that cannot stop the run cannot be successful. The run beat them in the last two games which isn’t so bad until you consider those two games were eight months apart and they had that long to solve that problem.

Problems need solutions and that might just be the major problem.

Don’t worry MM will stop the massages and cut back on feeding time to work hard to decrease the penalties and get things straightened out, he’s going to ask JG to come back as a offensive advisor.

I agree with some of your points, but I don't understand calling out a defense that held Brady to 1 TD and under 20 points despite the Cowboys offense constantly going 3 and out and putting the defense back on the field.

I honestly think part of the game plan was to not let the Bucs win the game in the air. The DL could've played better sure, but they received ZERO help from an inept Cowboys offense.

On a related note, did anyone see any reason (other than that they paid him) why Dorrance Armstrong was out there so much at RDE?

Actually not any of the DL did a dang thing.
DLaw did not even have an ...I almost got there... play, as he usually leads the NFL in those if it was a stat.

Trystan Hill did more on the DL than any other player, along with ODiggy, who was credited with 2 solo tackles, Hill one solo one assist.

Armstrong, seen him get spun around a few times, and it was not from him trying a spin move.

As usual half the fan base got sucked in by last year's domination of an embarrassing NFC East which created the illusion of a successful season. Outside the division it was barely a 500 team and struggled mightily against good teams. Got spanked at home in the playoffs against a physical team with a mediocre QB.

So fast forward to this season you have the same inept FO, a HC whose warts are evident without Aaron Rodgers, a worse roster than last season, and maybe the most over rated QB in NFL history whose level of play has sunk to atrocious. Not sure why some of you are surprised but sadly a quarter century says you can forget about a happy ending anytime soon.

Coach- well said. That statement above is still Football 101…something this Front office has never learned. The other half of the Football 101 equation is being able to block effectively. The fundamentals of football never change. And apparently never does this front office.

Well done!!!!!!!!!

Were the TB OL issues false, or do we have a JAG DLine?

If we're depending solely on Micah to stop the run, then we're already done, and we are indeed Ware'ing him.

2022 Cap Hits and performance in 2022 through 1 game

Dak Prescott $19.7M cap hit 14 of 29 48.3% Comp % 134 yards 0 td's 1 int

Zeke Elliott $18.2M cap hit 10 carries 52 yards 1 catch -3 yards

Dalton Schultz $10.9M cap hit 7 carries 62 yards

Tyron Smith $17.5M cap hit DNP

Demarcus Lawrence $14M cap hit 4 tackles 1 tfl

Anthony Brown $6.5M cap hit 7 tackles

Jaylon Smith $6.8M dead money cap hit Not on roster

Amari Cooper $6M dead money cap hit Not on roster

La'el Collins $4.9M dead money cap hit Not on roster

Blake Jarwin $2M dead money cap hit Not on roster

Keanu Neal $2M dead money cap hit Not on roster

So Dallas had 2 'stars' (Dak and DLaw) accounting for $33.7M that did not perform up to their contracts, 1 'star' offensive lineman accounting for $17.5M that is on IR, and 5 players accounting for $21.7M that are no longer on the roster.

Eventually BOTH the front office and the 'star' players need to be held fully accountable and there needs to be consequences.

I don’t think most fans and or critics argued as much with letting key starters go on OL and WR due to Cap moves as much as not addressing their absences more aggressively.
