This is not even close to being true.
Well, we can't all be as smart as you, else you wouldn't be so special.

Look no further than the owners box. Sticking a #88 on Antonio Bryant before he ever played a down...then sticking a #88 on Dez Bryant before he ever played a down.....putting a Victoria Secret shop in a football stadium. This is entertainment. And Jerry is the ring leader. He has parlayed those 3 Super Bowls Jimmy Johnson brought into what seems to be a never ending windfall of fame and fortune. He even mixes in winning a few football games from time to time. Why do we keep drafting trash and elevating them to Emmitt like status after one good year?
I pulled this picture off of facebook.Murray bounced this outside for a 4-yard gain. I personally would like to see more of Dunbar minus his fumbling. He has the ability to break off huge runs. On a play like this with a hole that big.. he would have had a massive run. Instead we have Murray who just loves to make contact.. get us 4 yards.
I have said in the past AND I just started a thread last week about 30 touches being WAY too much for DeMarco Murray. I said he is not Adrian Peterson and does not do enough with his touches to warrant 30.
Why do we keep drafting trash and elevating them to Emmitt like status after one good year?
He got 3 yards on that play. I remember see'ing it live and I stood up when I saw the hole he had to run through and then he only got 3.
To be fair to Demarco he did look very good early on. I never thought of him as another Emmit Smith however. Perhaps some expected too much.

Per a scout who broke down every Cowboys running play against the Chiefs, Murray had just one questionable read. #Noholes #noblocking

I love how every one has concluded that he has 'poor vision' after two games. Where was this analysis the past few years?

The top play (which directly preceded the run in the last post) does give the look that the right cut back is wide open. BUT, here is Murray's view
Berny for some reason blocked down on Free's man. Free look like he had him. Notice the ILB staring right at Murray. If Berny goes directly to the ILB (which I can't recall any Olineman getting the second level in this game), that hole is a no brainer.
From this angle it is plausible to think that there will be a hole opening between Leary and Fred since both have a seal. In either case, I would have though Berny would have gone direclty to the ILB instead of to Free's back. On the Oline, you have 4 blocking 3. I'm sure McCoy would have cut to the right, but that was a hard angle (which was pretty consistently filled by KC all game)
Im not trying to defend everything Murray did, but for the most part there was a breakdown in somebody's blocking assignment on most plays. Free whiffed once, stepped on Waters on another, Berny just looks slow, non-aggressive and sometimes just wandering, Fred missed a realease to the ILB, etc.
This is not new criticism of Murray.
Former NFL pro personnel director Louis Riddick says DeMarco Murray is leaving yardage on the field.
Murray is averaging just 3.46 YPC on the season. "DeMarco is a hard runner, but I have always had some issues with DeMarco because he is very, very, very straight line," Riddick said. "He has no ability to make people miss. As a matter of fact, you saw numerous times that there were some holes that DeMarco could have got through, but he is a guy who has to gather himself to really make hard, sharp cuts to exploit those running lanes." Murray's inability to avoid tackles also leads to injuries
Well I must have missed it b/c this Terrell Davis stuff is the first I'm hearing.
I don't agree, BTW. He may not bounce around as much as some RBs, but I think his main issue is poor run blocking from the OL.
Pretty sure players have to be issued a number before they play a down.
I don't recall Irvin running routes as a rookie with a numberless Jersey.
But I did like how Parcells handled rookies by not letting them have a star on their helmet until they earned it. It keeps their heads level.
I'm actually surprised Irvin, Aikman, and Emmit's numbers have not been retired . . . . .
