CB- Carr, Mo, Logan Ryan, Prince Amukamara, Sterling Moore, Kayvon Webster, Davon House, Sam Shields

DE- Demarcus Ware, John Simon, Devin Taylor, Jabaal Sheard, Elvis Dumerville, Mario Williams, Datone Jones, Alex Okafor, Chris Long, Jacquies Smith

S- TJ McDonald, Jairus Byrd, Aaron Williams, Bradley McDougald, JJ Wilcox

WR- Russel Shepard, Kendall Wright, Marquess Wilson, Cordarrelle Patterson, Justin Hunter, Kamar Aiken

And I'm sure I'm missing more than a few guys...feel free to add.

In a perfect world we could still come away with a haul like Logan Ryan, Jabaal Sheard, Kendall Wright, and Jairus Byrd but even if its only Carr, Ware, McDougald, and Patterson I'll still be happy.

You can't say pump the brakes and then roll off that list of non factors.

Actually there are some decent names on that list. For example, I don't think there is much of a drop off from Church to TJ McDonald at S. And there are still some decent CBs out there that are no worse and likely will come cheaper than Claiborne. I'd be eyeing a guy like Ryan from NE. He'd be an upgrade IMO at CB.

I wish we were in on Peppers. But he seems likely to go back to Carolina.

I really worry that the front office thinks that what they have is good enough at DE and they'll think about adding a DE in the draft if the board falls the right way. That's a mistake. They should bring in a vet like Sheard or Peppers.

That was pretty much the list of the entire free agent class.

Non factors. If you are looking for a consistent player under 30, you better keep looking.

Worse free agency class in a very long time.
Agree. The free agency class was and is a weak one.
This is the nature of the NFL. We need to replace average players (Carr, Mo) with players that have the upside of being average.

Read what you said....not much of a drop off from Church to TJ McDonald...not much of a drop off...we are supposed to feel good about not downgrading our team too much...forget improvements. Let's just get excited about not much of a downgrade...

But I get it...it's a bad year for free agents..

Also I still have a feeling Demarcus Ware is going to be our consolidation prize and may be the only way to get Jerry away from his binger once we lose Romo.

He could be heading to LA or a vacation but he made a post a few hours ago on twitter in an airplane going somewhere. He also made another post about free agency earlier:

There are no rumors circulating him right now with any other teams linked to him besides us and Denver so that's probably a good thing if you want a Ware reunion. His agent isn't leaking teams to drive up the price.

Heath is probably just as good as Church. And did you want to pay an average SS $6MM a year? I didn't.

You are wetting your pants a bit too soon this year.

The bolded are either taking visits or are in various states of negotiations with teams already.

By the end of next week, there will be obese females singing.

Our vet will be Ware if anyone. Even Ware is against our nature but the nostalgia factor could be too much.

You see Peppers wanting to go back to Carolina like Ware wants to come here.

Aside from Leary who is a good starter...Barry Church, Terrell McClain, T Will, Mo "Glass" Claiborne. What would you describe that list of players as?

No I didn't want to pay Church $6 million per year.
But I did want to pay an all pro safety $6 million per year last year....Eric Weddle.

I know, right?

It's like a list of has beens that never were.

Who have we lost in FA that wasn't also a never was? So far we have lost Church, who certainly isn't irreplaceable and got overpaid. McClain, who got overpaid as well and was an injury problem. Leary? Well we knew that was coming given he was going to get a big raise.

Honestly the one guy that would bother me that we could lose would be Claiborne. If healthy, he's a pretty good CB.
