Purdy, Darnold, Caleb, Stafford, Nix, Allen, Maye, Stroud

I mean, why isn’t every team trading down to the 242nd pick?

Are they stupid?

I believe Stafford became a very good quarterback, no doubt. But Stafford didn't win his first playoff game until his twelfth season in the NFL.

Now Dak won a couple playoff games in less than ten seasons (which is nothing to brag about) but for some reason Stafford gets all of these passes and excuses.

Did you realize that Stafford has a career record vs winning teams of something like, 17-77 or something lopsided like that?

Then you're going to say, "aw man, he played for the Detroit Lions". Well according to the quarterback gurus around here, I've been told that good quarterbacks supposed to elevate the players around him. You previously admitted that Stafford had an elite skillset so the Detroit Lions excuse is out of the window.

Then you may say "well Stafford won a Superbowl". Yep, on a already built Superbowl squad. The year that Rams team won the Superbowl, Stafford led the NFL in interceptions. No disrespect to Stafford, but I believe there are 12 to 15 other quarterbacks who would have won a Superbowl ring that season with THAT Rams team.

Again, I think Stafford has become a great quarterback. Some people mature in this game later than other players. It’s just a tad hypocritical to blame one quarterback solely for things that happened in ten years that another quarterback gets excuses for over the course of 12 to 14 years.

Oh, so Stafford got better? Not worse? Dak seems worse

49ers D is playing well but you seem to be discrediting them because Philly put up 19.

When the playoffs started they showed up.
In 2025 below are their stats:

340 yards per game- 20th

232 passing yards per game- 25th
107 rush defenseyards per game- 11th
3rd down D- 19th
RZ D- 12th
Scoring D- 13th

Of course, injuries played a massive role in the above, so I guess if you consider that good, then I am way off base, my bad. What they did vs the Iggles is what almost every D has done, including the Dallas so-called D, and you're basing your opinions on 1 game lol...c'mon man

I’m referencing the playoffs. How you played in the regular season is irrelevant. When the pressure turns on what are they doing? Making plays. Because I know the Cowboys can win 12 games in the regular again then get the doors blasted in the playoffs…..

I get that, but it's 1 game against a dysfunctional franchise that should have won half the games they did this season. If they shut down the Hawks' offence tonight, then I'd agree, it takes more than 1 game to say they are playing "well", they played well. And no, I am not a teacher LOL

Again, by the time Stafford was in his 10th season he still didn't have a playoff win yet.

Then you said Dak got worse? He just had an All-Pro, MVP candidate season 2 seasons ago, got hurt a good portion of last season and put up 4th place quarterback production this season behind a 21st ranked offensive line and with a NFL last ranked defense?

Where did Dak get worse this season? Being 4th out of 64+ quarterbacks in the NFL is "getting worse"?

Explain why an elite quarterback like Stafford couldn't get a playoff win until his 12th season? I guess he was "even worse" than Dak in his first 10 seasons without a damn playoff win. The math ain't mathin.....

Im confused here.

With the exception of brick purdy all these guys are first round quarterbacks. What that tells me is raw talent matters.

If you’re a mid round quarterback you’re probably gonna produce mid round results
Does Jerry taking Quincy Carter in the 2nd round count?

He made a projected 4th rounder a 2nd rounder and thought he was gonna have the next franchise QB.

Its 4th round Qbs or lower ever since for our GM

I mean that’s what I’m saying lol. They played well. The post was saying how all these guys won and I just brought up the defenses played well as well. Tonight may not fare the same.

He just don’t figure teams out. He’s clunky . He’s like if you stayed back 3 years in senior year yea you’ll know the material but sheesh don’t date the sophomores ya know

I actually like Quincy Carter the player, he kind of had a fun game or whatever.

So at this point I know we aren’t desperate to upgrade at the position but I would like a fun player with an elite new skillset

Dak was 4th rounder...truthfully mid round results in all honesty

Troy the only 1st pick
after that Q
Romo UDFA
Dak a 4th
AND remember that NGM first wanted Paxton Lynch and THEN Connor Cook and SETTLED for Dak

Ok and all that is cool. But how does a quarterback who doesn't figure teams out and clunky remain a top 10 quarterback his whole career, became an All-Pro and MVP candidate, and THIS season put up top 4 quarterback production behind a 21st ranked offensive line?

What does that say about the other 28 quarterbacks under him?

You conveniently evaded my question about a quarterback you said was elite. Why haven't the elite skilled Matthew Stafford won a playoff game until his 12th season?

Then non elite Dak Prescott won 2 playoff games within 8 or 9 seasons (which isn't impressive), but it took Stafford 12 years to win his first.....

Care to explain without excuses?

The Eagles' O has never been that great. It was hidden by the #1 D in the NFL. That's what won them the super bowl, they made Mahomes look like Justin Fields.

A few? How about more than half.
Way more. However, that doesn't change the fact that most good QBs come from the 1st round.

And if you take all those busts and examine their scouting reports and take out the ones that were not 1st round talent, the busts would dwindle mightily.

Look at the upcoming draft. How many 1st round worthy QBs are there? 1. Mendoza is it.

So, why are all these non 1st round talents taken in the 1st? Easy answer. If you don't have a QB, you have nothing.
