If we are going to hammer our own, McCarthy, Moore and Prescott, let's be fair about it.

Reid, McVay and Shanahan all made mistakes in the Champs games but let McCarthy make those same mistakes and he's a dolt and should be fired.

There were questionable play calls by every OC in all 4 games yet I don't think their fans want them all fired.

We covet and crow about Burrow and Mahomes but why don't we focus in on their bad throws and Mahomes came close to fumbling that game away in regulation and made a terrible decision at the end of the first half and Burrow had easy picks, really bad throws, dropped or he isn't Wunderkind this morning.

These guys are great QB's but even the best of them make bad throws, mistakes and do not protect the ball well enough. None of them are superhuman.

Are we really too hard on our own coaches and players? Are we on point for the mistakes and too quickly discount the good calls made and plays executed? What are we looking for?

Have we conditioned ourselves to look for these negatives and highlight them?

I am not asking these questions to start a discussion but more for all of us to do a little self-examination of how we even approach these games and seasons.

You know a good start? Purge that 26 years of futility because there were different people involved in all those years and if the Bengals can win their first playoff game in 31 years and first ever playoff road game and take down the 1 and 2 seed on their way to the Big Dance, all things are possible in the NFL. And that team has the only other owner/GM.

Mistakes costs teams games. Won’t excuse them from our players, and won’t defend them from other teams.

Cowboys fans look at their team like theyre the worst in the NFL and only they make mistakes.

Quote me, if Dak played a game like Josh Allen played against the Chief they would still blame Dak and say he choked

heres the facts

there are Elite teams, Good Teams, Average teams and teams that need a rebuild

Cowboys are a Good team and thats it, issue is Good teams get no further than the divisional round.

Lots of mistakes in Championship Sunday for sure. The mistake by KC at the end of the half and McVays poor challenges and burning all his TO’s were awful.

What about SF easy dropped INT? Stafford would be a dud today….

Im quite confident those fan bases are itching and moaning this morning

26 years of being good.......

I forgot about one, Shanny not running Mitchell. He used Deebo too much in the backfield IMO, and hardly called the toss play where the RB just picks a hole.

In 2020, we signed these guys in FA: Haha, McCoy, Poe, Canady.

In 2020, Cincy signed DJ Reader, NT. For around the same money.

That is why we are not advancing in the playoffs.

Those coaches won playoff games this year and made it to a conference championship. What's that got to do with MM?

We haven't been in a conference championship game since 1996. So, lets not jump to conclusions on how we might react if we had a coach that wasn't perfect in such a game.

26 years of being good.......
yup that is all it boils down to

Dallas is going to win between 8-13 games a year and might get 1 playoff win

thats it, i hope for more but hey it is what it is

They showed it this morning, in his last 3 playoff losses, Shanny has been outscored 50 something to zero in the 4th qtr. This has become a constant for Shanny coached teams. He lays eggs in the 4th.

Don't forget, he was also OC for ATL in the super bowl where Ryan was taking 7 step drops in the late 3rd and 4th qtrs w/ a large lead. He's known for this.

Thank you, CC!!!!!

Well said!

Dallas is undisciplined. They can't get motivated for a playoff home game.

They are satisfied with a lousy NFCE title. Pathetic.

The Chiefs had a home game and up 21-3. So did they just think the game was over? How bout Reid not kicking the FG before the half?

There is no doubt, and Ive said it forever, our team is not special. Our coaches are not special. Other teams screw up in the exact same we do every weekend. Coaches make bad decisions, bad challenges, bad play calls, and players screw up.

How bout the Niners DB that could have called for a fair catch on an interception that would have sent the Niners to the SB, and he simply dropped the ball.

everyone makes bad plays, the notion of a QB carrying a team is so misguided....but good players, make more good plays than bad. their good plays are more impactful and their bad plays are less impactful and they keep the team in the contest.

but Yeah, how could KC let Cinci get back in that game being down 21-3... and they defintely messed up the play right before the half, which was on Mahomes.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying....difference is these guys made it to the championship games. The Cowboys ever since that uplifting victory against Minnesota have gone 6-5 with a first round playoff exit. It's a lot harder to excuse the errors when you set yourself up for super bowl expectations then turn into the definition of an average team.

I've never thought Reid was more than average, maybe a bit above.

Great points but it does not fit board trolls or media trolls narrative.:laugh:

No they would not blame Dak - that's ridiculous. That is just taking the absurd and trying to make a point. NOBODY blames Allen for that loss!

They would however blame Romo for a loss against Green Bay when he had the highest ever playoff QB rating to lose a game!
