Here's what Ourlads says about Kevin Hogan...

A competitive leader who is a good decision maker. Has the toughness to stand an d throw from the pocket along with the ability to move the pocket with his feet. Instinctive to recognize pressure with the ability to keep the play alive with his eyes down the field. Drops back and rolls out effectively. A smart player who processes information quickly. Doesn't possess a bazooka for a right arm, but gets the ball there with timing and anticipation. Very accurate when using correct footwork and fundamentals. Steps up into the pocket and follows through on his passes. Uses all his receivers as weapons, particularly the tight ends on crossing and corner routes. consistently puts the ball where the receivers can catch and not break stride. Protects the football under pressure. Must continue to work on his footwork in the pocket to throw on balance.

He had a ball velocity of 53 mph.

Wentz had 57 mph.
Goff had 58 mph.
Lynch had 59 mph.
Prescott had 54 mph.
Cook had 50 mph.
Adams Jr. had 53 mph.
Driskel had 52 mph.
Allen had 55 mph.
Kessler had 55 mph.
Brissett had 56 mph.

since we do not have a chance at top 2 qbs, what about this guy later in draft? I seen this in one person's mock and looked him up. He seems pretty solid. Has a little of everything. Although I like highlight videos, they tend to only show best plays so here is a good game day video of him vs Notre Dame 2015

Hogan looks as good as wentz, really the one thing that stood out was how he moves up in pocket
and or runs to los, and then throws. that shows he keeps looking downfield.
That is good trait to have in nfl.
he can also run with it so thats a plus.

I watched a wentz vid after hogan, and he didnt look any better.

I hope I am not watching the same throw because that ball didn't have enough arc and was behind the WR. It would more than likely be an INT in the NFL.

40 some yards to the sideline on a rope and you didn't like it? I don't think you watch much football. Hogan's delivery is like Rivers....and it works for him. I like Hogan in the 4th or after.

Sure it sounds 'crae crae' to take two (2) but 2016 is unbelievably a terrific and simply the great Draft year for mid & late round developmental QB(s) which (I can't say enough) is exactly what your Dallas Cowboys need.

Wouldn't call that on a rope. If you do watch football then you realize that was under thrown and ripe for INT in the Pro world.

No, it wasn't overthrown. His WR didn't have his corner beat, so he couldn't go over the top and lead him towards the end zone. He put it to the sideline since the CB was on the outside of the WR, he put it too high so neither the safety (Who DID make an attempt on the ball) and the CB couldn't have a chance to pick.

Watch the replay, it was a perfect pass and the receiver made a good catch.

LOL...I don't think Romo could make that throw. That is a very impressive throw.

Phil Sims (via a CBS sports ) has Hogan ahead of Hackenberg.......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Explains why he has Lynch ahead of Goff........"borderline superstar qualities, natural thrower who will get better"

The video posted by the OP showed a QB with presence, awareness and tenacity to make a play somewhere in his reads or make a run for it. I thought he looked in command and knew what he wanted to do with the ball.

THEY probably said that about Brady too.

"Eh, nothing more than a quality backup. Thanks though."

They also say that about every other guy that's not good enough to start. Idk how Brady was scouted out of college, but I don't like anything about Hogan's game. His arm is a little better than Kellen Moore's but the rest of his game is worse.

Wrong. That ball was perfectly placed to the outside for only his WR to make a play.

Always funny to me when people attempt to scout these plays and throw out "He got lucky!". It was a perfectly placed ball and his WR made a play.

I was watching a different clip. There's clip against ND then there's another clip against Oregon St. The 3:10 mark shows two different plays. I was commenting on the one against Oregon St. The one against ND was better throw but overall he doesn't excite me and I watch a lot of Pac 12 football.
