Did anyone else catch Troy's comments on QB's being allowed to use the football of their choice? I know they have been doing this for a while in college but was a bit surprised that NFL QB's have talked to the competition committee for a while now about doing this in the NFL and starting this year they will be able to do so.

Sweet. I'd use one of those little nerf things.

They basically get the balls in advance and are able to work them in and get the slick feel off and the balls are marked so that each offense gets their balls.

Who invented football? And, why did they pick that shape?

Correct. You would have thought the NFL would have allowed this a long time ago. As Troy said the competition committee for years installs rules to increase scoring in the NFL so why not have the QB's use balls they feel comfortable with.

1st football looked more like a rugby ball, as the pass came into play the design of the ball started to change for better flight

You must have never played with those turbo aerodynamic balls they created. Those suckers made you feel like ya had John Elway's arm. :p:

Does this mean Bledsoe can use his synchronized balls?

Bledsoe need his footballs to have little stop watches in them, so while he's patting the hell out of it, he can glance down and see it's TIME TO THROW!

He already has a little earphone in his helmet to get the plays...how come Parcells is not yelling into it when it is TIME TO THROW!

Sometimes I wonder if his little earphone is tuned into an FM radio station somewhere and he's grooving to some tune instead of throwing it?

I'd love to see them try and play with a nerf football in Chicago at Soldier Field... there would be about 75 running plays per team and ZERO pass attempts!! Furthermore, forget about PATs and FGs

He needs to have a football with a built in tazer inside with leads that wrap the laces... Bledsoe gets a 5K voltage to the palm after the timer goes off.:laugh1:
