Its on the tip of everyones tounges now, and probably will come up every time Romo takes a hit. Should the Cowboys seriously consider a QB in the first round of the draft.

Alot of angles here to cover, I just want to hear your general thoughts

If Romo retires, sure. Otherwise, if we're going to blow a 1st, might as well wait till he's gone. They're expected to start immediately now.

No QB in the first and no trading down. Even with DLaw and Melton our line is in need of another stud, and dont get me started on our need at CB once again. Of all positions we can't draft a good CB to save our lives.

I like Brett Hundley of UCLA a lot. I also wouldn't mind a later round for a guy who has good stuff to build upon.

I've been fine with it for years now.

I'd rather that than wait until Romo has no more throws left in his arm and just assuming another franchise QB will fall in their lap.

Alot of people are saying he is falling. Great tools and a good character guy from what Ive heard, if he falls to the 20 range he could be a steal

Sign Foles as a back-up, but we all know he'll see at least 8 games.
Pick best player avail in Rd. 1
Draft a sub 4.40 WR in Rd. 2. There are a bunch in the draft.
Draft D the rest of the way, except for a RB.

I'd still go for value rather than forcing the pick, but quarterback definitely needs to be in the conversation at this point.

If the value at quarterback is there, I would have no trouble with them pulling the trigger.

I'll throw another hypothetical on top of this one.

If Hoyer gets a long-term deal in Cleveland, what are the thoughts on trading a 1st or 2nd rounder next year for Manziel?

Perhaps, but this team has too many immediate needs. Mainly on defense. I'd rather the 1st be used on a defensive upgrade.

The way I see it if you go into a draft needing to fill immediate needs, your front office has failed miserably. You need to create some flexibility in the draft

Brandon Weeden is the future. He's being groomed and developed as we speaks!!!!!

The entire defense needs help though. It doesn't exactly limit their options.

Qb, defensive line, defensive line, offensive tackle. In any particular order based on bpa for those positions. Hoped for mettenberger last draft. Want strong arm and smart. Prefer from big league school.

I'm not sure Hoyer gets a long-term deal with the Browns. He just turned 29 years old. At first glance people think he is having a good season with his 90.3 passer rating. That only ranks 19th amongst QBs and the league average is 89.5. The guy is average at best. He has reached his ceiling.

I am against using a 1st round pick to acquire Johnny Manziel. There are better options out there.

Dallas needs to definitely take some serious consideration about drafting a QB next season. If a good one is there when they pick in the first round then they need to pull the trigger. The don't need to draft one just for the sake of drafting, but if they see one they like then do it. And they should not just limit it to the first round.
