Use the money saved from Romo, Mayowa, lance Dunbar, and DMC and get 1 bad boy DE, two linebackers, and a corner. What's that about 20-21 a year right there.

Lol at anyone throwing crud on our corners when weve had one of the most pathetic pass rushes since dware left town

They go hand in hand... and honestly I feel they've played better this season

It's time to move on from both of them, and get corners that will see the field (mo) and can actually tackle (carr). I know that can't be done in one off-season, but I will be really disappointed if either one of them is still on the team in 2018.

Be careful what you wish for. You could easily regress at cornerback. IF you can get Mo and Carr for discounts you should look into it.

I'm actually shocked this secondary doesn't get more credit. They've been great under the circumstance. You see those plays where the pass rush just can't get there and you see the QB scrambling for 10 seconds just to have no one to throw it to. Pretty remarkable.

Money is generally not an issue with getting a pass rusher. It's more about being right place, right time. This would be a nice year to be at the top of the draft as far as getting a pass rusher but since I'm expecting us to pick 32 we need to hit on a big 4th round pro bowler lol

As much as we bag on Carr, the guy has been durable as of thus far.

Details of his contract were scarce when he signed a new deal in April .......but when they restructured his 2013 salary they added a voidable year in 2017 to spread out the cap hit to 5 years........that year has already voided but the 2.7m in dead money remains on the books for next year

The 2.7m for Carr will hit whether he is here or not.........I don't think they should re-sign him unless he takes a very team friendly deal....like 3m a year or less.....I would sign Mo for around 6m a year

Normally dead money doesn't exist for a player in his last year of a contract but Dallas did this with Free and may have also done this with Romo and Maybe Dez if they restructure him this year...the last 2 years on Romo's deal were always "placeholders" or voidable imo......they never were going to pay him 20m in 2018-19....but it made the deal look bigger for Tony and his agent's pride and it spread out the 25m SB and the restructures....a 4/68m extension was reported as 6/108m in new money or 7/119m total

I'd give Carr a $5-mill per incentive type deal and try to draft an upgrade...

With all the issues of Mo's injury and next contract, I started looking into Brandon Carr.
Carr seems to be having a good year.
Do you think switching the side he defends have had a good effect?

Also regarding his contract, it appears he has 2017 as a voidable year with a $2.7M restructuring bonus.
What exactly does that mean?
Do we have him for 2017 under contract - I guess not?

He is not under contract for 2017.

His total pay for 2016 is about 6M.

Moving to the right side does seem to have helped him. Also, having Byron Jones at FS seems to have helped all of the CBs.

If you look at CB average salaries, 6M is low. They might not get him back for less than 6M (Carr's average is 10M because of his previous earnings, but his 2016 salary is about 6M)..

Prepare for disappointment. It's coming.
