I will be attending the opening game next Sunday night. It's my first ever game at Texas Stadium. Needless to say I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

Anyway, my question is regarding the game itself. When the schedule says that the game is sponsored by Pepsi for example, what does that typically mean?

Do they do something different for that game, giveaways or something, than they do normally?

Just wondering what that was all about.

I don't think it means anything.

The pre-game in The Corrall is sponsored by Hooters, though, and that definitely means something!

See ya there!

Have Fun and get there as early as you can so that you can take in as much as you can!

I think we are leaving the hotel about 2 hours before the game so we should have plenty of time.

That's what I was thinking too. Especially if you are parking in the cash lot, the earlier you get there, the shorter of a walk you have back after the game.

Visit Tom Landry's statue by gate 1 (I believe it's gate 1).

It means that Pepsi paid JJ a lot of money to make that statement. :lmao2:
Which is really true if you think about it.

I will be there. Not sure if we can get to the corrall.
I don't park in the lots. I park off of 183, there is a Days Inn, and a Webbs bar & grille. I try to park in that, then will go in and have a few beers before going to the game if we have time.

Game is at 7:10, i''' leave my house at 5. Hit the backed up traffic at 5:15, then a slow crawl for 30 to 45 minutes for the last 1/2 mile before parking.

Myself and doctor32 will be there.

I would suggest going much earlier than 2 hours.

Take the back way into the cash lot and you have zero traffic. I drive by all the traffic on 183, giggle, and then take the frontage road of spur 482 and go in on the back road by carmax and the dr.pepper plant. Will save you about 30 to 60 minutes.

Go one gate past the pro shop and that is where the players walk in after parking their cars, you will see the madden cruiser parked there and jerry and stephen jones always go and visit with him right out there and then he takes a golf cart to the press box down the ramp. Al michaels comes in a limo with a crew of about 5 guys.

You can also see the team busess of the giants come in if you are about 3 hours early...

cant wait for sunday.

Hey Theebs,

When you take this route, can you still park towards the front. When I say front, I mean as close to the Stadium as possible, but still in the cash parking. I believe the trolly picks you right there.... OR Do you end up parking on the back (across the levy)
