Hey Zoners,

Mods, I apologize if this isn't a Fan Zone thread. Wasn't really sure where to post it.

Anyway, I'm from Brooklyn and have lived in Miami the past 7 years, so I've always gotten at least 9-10 Cowboys games on local TV a season (including nationally televised games). I'm moving to Seattle in a month and I'm wondering how any Zoners who live in Seattle watch the games. I'm guessing the only games that'll be televised will be nationally televised games. And I don't know if I want to fork out the money for NFL Sunday Ticket Mobile (it was like $250 last year). I know last time I was in Seattle I caught a game at this sports bar that gives you your own TV to watch any game you want, but I don't know if I want to spend $50 a week sitting at that sports bar. I'm thinking of going NFL Game Rewind for only $25, but then I'd have to have the discipline to not check the scores or read the news until the following day.

So, any Zoners who live in the Seattle area, how many games do they televise a year? and how do you go about watching Cowboys games?

Those are all drastically different places to live.

If you have a good job, I would just get the Sunday Ticket and not worry about.

I live in the Seattle area. I have Sunday Ticket, but I know that quite a few Cowboys games are shown on local TV here. The good thing this year is that the Cowboys and Seahawks never play at the same time, except when they play each other. We have six national TV games, the game against the Seahawks and Week 1 against the 49ers (which will be shown here), so that's eight right there. Looking at the schedule here http://506sports.com/nfl/, I'm guessing that we'll get 10 or 11 games here on local TV. (In Weeks 3 and 9, we play NFC West teams, and none of the other games at the same time on the same network have other NFC West teams playing. And in Week 16, the only late-game options for CBS are Colts-Cowboys and Bills-Raiders.) Of course, Flex scheduling and whether our Week 17 game matters might change things.

Wow. Thanks a lot. Yeah it looks promising. I assumed NFC East games aren't really shown on the west coast, but I forgot we were playing the NFC West this year. Thanks for the research. I don't mind going to a bar to catch 5-6 games. I've purchased Sunday Ticket the past few seasons and only used it for 2-3 games. Wasn't worth the $250.

Just get Directv....as a first time scriber, you can get the NFL package for free. When the next season rolls around, worry about it then.

I have lived up and down the West Coast, from SD to SEA, and getting Dallas games there(that aren't primetime) is kind of rare. Seattle has a better chance than the Bay Area(due to two teams there) but don't count on more than a few games being shown. Like Adam said, you will probably get to see around 10 to 11 games this season up there. If ya want to go to a sportsbar for the other 5 or so, cool....that isn't too bad.

DirecTV is the way to go for this first season IMO. Also, they even offer single games for $20(maybe a few bucks more) if you can't get the package for free. That is an option for the remaining games that won't be shown.

Well, I have Comcast for everything so I have to do Direct TV Mobile and watch it on my iPad. It's not worth paying $250 to watch 5 games on a little iPad.

New state, new beginning, new era.......dump them and go with a dish :)

I have had numerous problems with Comcast/Time-warner out there. From now on, it will always be DTV or U-Verse for me no matter where I live. Heck, I didn't have CBS or any related web content in LA for weeks(almost months) due to them and Comcast bickering :(
