no.

not because a player won't make the same play but because we're not the same people as we were back then.

I am close to 40 but I do not see it with the current clown of a HC

I mean I remember watching Randy White at the ripe old age of 8 I even had a football card of him and Dorsett. I mean we flagged down the Local Police cars in our neighborhood and asked for a Dallas Card and they gave them to us. (No this was not in the Dallas area)

I mean how cool was that when you are a kid.

if your 38 ...then you feel me.

i've been watching the cowboys since 75.

after all the great memories i have of the cowboys...other than the 78 destruction of the broncos...

the slant to harper knowing we were going to win that game was my favorite memory of all.

i was living in an apartment complex at the time and my neighbors were wondering what happened to me the way i was screaming.... "go baby.. go baby!":)

Alas, I have avatars and sigs turned off, so I see... a whole lot of white space. Someone want to post it inline as a treat?

And to the OP - hard to say. Hard to say if we get to that point, and hard to say if after all this time, after a decade of drek, we'll feel the same. After all, the Cowboys brand has been equivalent to Milwaukee's Best as of late...

That was a great moment. Maybe the greatest single moment of that season.

But by far the best feeling I got that season was watching the team seal the deal against the Bills. When things got so out of hand that it was clear the Bills couldn't come back .... That was great.

I had a similar feeling when the Cowboys won their first SB trophy vs. the Dolphins.

I supect it'll feel similar the next time the Cowboys win a SB (after such a long dry spell).

You remember that play, but you don't "remember" that play. That's why over 40. Not saying you're not a fan. Just that probably after the play happened you wanted to eat some animal crackers and take a nap, where as your older Boys bredren ran outside screaming into the heavens downing shots of Jim Beam.

Hey, hey, now.. what do you mean " over 40 " ? I ain't more than 3 months over 39...

My answer is: I don't know. Back when Harper broke the 49ers' backs ( it was Kelvin Martin who nailed the coffin shut ) I had no idea we were going to see another Butch Johnson SB type celebration again.

Hell, I'm still waiting for "The Six Million Dollar Man" to come back on the air, so I'm the king of patience.

Yes, we will have another "Harper moment," but not anytime soon. Remember the "Seinfeld" episode where Jerry was dating that hot chick, but everyone who met her knew instinctively that she was a loser? That's the current Cowboys: great on the outside, but something missing underneath.
