I'm posting this and would rather not get smarta... comments back but real answers due to not really
watching a ton of College Football. However, if we don't get a veteran RB and go into the Draft sitting at
# 27 would you take Melvin Gordon or Todd Gurley ?

Which is the better RB and which fits our offense better ?

IMO, I'd take Melvin Gordon. Less injury history and has shown an upward trajectory in his stats over his college career.

Can't argue with 2500+ yards last year even though he was behind the Wisconsin OLine

I wouldn't take any of them in the 1st or 2nd rounds.

Todd Gurely has rare skill sets and by far has biggest upside of any RB in draft. However, he is coming off injury and maybe not be ready for start of NFL season. Gordon is nice alternative. Tevin Coleman is a Murray clone if they are looking for that. Lots of options at RB. This is the year to draft one.

Both will be good, IMO. I take Gurley, he's elite and has the ability to be special at the next level. Only question is medical and I think he's fine.

It's not a given that either Gurley or Gordon will be available at 27. Then what?

Whichever one can learn to pick up an NFL blitz the fastest so Romo doesn't get killed. Scratch that, let's sign a vet.

there are at least 10 backs we can draft. There are never guarantees that you can get exactly who you want in the draft unless you have the 1st pick. But with so many good backs, you know they can get one if they want.
Also, FA lasts until late July and also there is always the chance for trades.
Plenty of time

Gurley is special, Gordon isn't. Ignore those that talk about year 1 production. These people are short sighted and want to draft for need. A draft pick is a long term investment in a player. Gurley's potential far exceeds Gordon's.

It also far exceeds DeMarco Murray's too.

Those are the 3 I like film of the best. Actually I think Coleman looks the most like DeMarco Murray. Gurley could be all world
for years but is going to need some time to get back to football shape.

Murray was a 3rd rd back,I wouldn't force a Rb in the first 2 rds.

Very true and that's why I don't expect him to get past San Diego.

The only thing I read is Gurley better fits our offense than Gordon. I saying this does anyone off the top of their
head know size and speed of each ?

G.U.R.L.E.Y. Knee injuries are much easier to recover from than they were a few years ago. Wisconsin always has a great O-line, UGA's struggle Todd's first two years and he was still the best in the country. I'm a bulldawg and I've seen every snap of his career, he also has the most versatility at this position since Jamal Charles IMO.

Gurly = Lattimore. Sad but true.

We have a two-three year window with Romo we are very lucky, we have to get AD now. We don't have the time to develop a rookie RB.

you do realize we won a SB with a rookie RB once, right?

And we don't have the money AP would be seeking.
