I've some posts shooting down the idea of signing a player because "that player would want too much", "isn't worth that much", or whatever other money related issue is thrown out there.
My question, why does anyone care? If it works well with the cap, who cares how much Jerry is spending?
Its not like Jerry has been getting fleeced in recent contracts.
Knock him all you want for his meddling ways but he and the guys who work on the salaries have the cap pretty well figured out.
He isn't going to hamstring the team with a contract that puts the teams cap status in limbo.
So why do people care? If the contract is cap friendly does it matter how much any deal is supposedly worth?
I don't think so.
