I'm thinking that the mockingbird would have a huge psychological edge. To be able to "mock" or imitate other birds like he does, he would have to be more intelligent. I realize he's still a birdbrain, but he should be able to play some mind games with the bluejay, thus gaining an edge.

Besides, according to Atticus Finch, it's a sin to kill a mockingbird.

mind games........................ yes, i can see your point chief. kind of like we humans are much bigger than say, a bee. but we will run and swat like a banshee to get away from it.

i've often wondered how many single car accidents are attributed to bees flying in the window when going 70 mph, changing the radio station, dropping a lit cigarette in your lap, looking at a female underwear ad billboard etc. etc.
