Not gonna be detailed. I'll just point out a couple of things..

1. Henry had one of the worst games I've ever seen from a CB.

2. Our pass rush is still horrible. I'm talking about how we rush the passer when we know they're gonna pass. It's just horrible. Our guys look like they're all shadow boxing. They don't ATTACK at all. It's past annoying. It was annoying 4 years ago.

3. Other then ONE throw, Bledsoe had a hell of a game. That second INT wasn't a great throw, but it was an int more cuz of a great play by Parrish then it was cuz of the throw.

4. We need to get another RB some of JuJo's carries. He isn't looking fresh at all in the 4th quarter.

5. Zimmer sucks. There is absolutely nothing complicating about our RARE blitzes to the opposing team's offense. One of the reasons our secondary is getting toasted is cuz the opposing QB has all day to throw. Like I've been saying for the past 3-4 years, it doesn't matter who is in our secondary, if we can't get to the QB they WILL get burned.

6. I'm glad we stayed with it and came back to win, but good teams don't come out looking like crap against the worst team in the NFL in the first place.

7. Liked Thompson on kick returns.

8. HATE Crayton on punt returns.

9. Like Davis on special teams.

10. Don't like Davis so much on defense.

1. Completely agree
2. No improvement in 10 years now and running.
3. Biggest reason we won
4. Most RB's get stronger as the game goes on. Not sure what the deal is.
5. GROZ.
6. Playing to the level of the competition isn't a good thing.
7. Should stay there full time
8. Where is TNEW?
9. Stupid idea to ever take him off.
10. Biggest off season blunder.

Care to explain Carolina's loss to MIAMI today????

The team picked by SI to win the Super Bowl--& featuring Randy Galloway's man-love-fixation Jake Delhomme???

I agree with just about all of it. I was one that defended Zimmer quite a bit over the past few seasons, insisting that lack of talent was more of a culprit. I admit I could have been wrong on that. I hate to say it, but he seems highly unimaginative and his defense, 3-4, 4-3, etc., is predictable to say the least.

We could of pursued Lance Shulters. Could or pursued Sharper too, but I think he's overated. He misses too many tackles.

Let's hope Pile solidifies the spot.

1. Henry had one of the worst games I've ever seen from a CB. Agree he had a bad game but I can remember some other games by CBs named Hawthorne or Edwards that made Henry's preformance look like a Pro Bowl preformance.

2. Our pass rush is still horrible. I'm talking about how we rush the passer when we know they're gonna pass. It's just horrible. Our guys look like they're all shadow boxing. They don't ATTACK at all. It's past annoying. It was annoying 4 years ago. I agree here too and I think most of it is the move to the 3-4. This team just doesn't know the 3-4 well yet. This may hurt us all year with the pass rush. Hopefully by next year they have it down more. You can't just expect a team to just transition to a new defense over night. It didn't even happen that way in Baltimore.

3. Other then ONE throw, Bledsoe had a hell of a game. That second INT wasn't a great throw, but it was an int more cuz of a great play by Parrish then it was cuz of the throw. Bledsoe is still one of the top 5-10 QBs in the NFL, he's could be a pro bowler this year.

4. We need to get another RB some of JuJo's carries. He isn't looking fresh at all in the 4th quarter. We try to but Thomas isn't effective in just a role of getting a few carries. He's better with more carries and he won't have more then 10 carries a game this year. And Thompson is a liability in the pass game and Marion Barber has basically disappeared.

Again moving to a new D is a big reason this team won't do well. I do agree that they don't blitz enough or at right times. But it's hard as a coach to blitz when you don't always trust your coverage can handle. That's a problem right now.

6. I'm glad we stayed with it and came back to win, but good teams don't come out looking like crap against the worst team in the NFL in the first place.San Fran is a bad team talentwise but talent isn't the number 1 thing to win with in the NFL anymore. And it hasn't been in a while. San Fran is well coached, they do make some young team mistakes. But they are well coached.

7. Liked Thompson on kick returns.

8. HATE Crayton on punt returns.

9. Like Davis on special teams.

10. Don't like Davis so much on defense.

Agreed on the last points really can't disagree at all

Overrated or not, at least Sharper was rated. Keith Davis is at best a non-entity right now. I'm hoping he gets it together, otherwise the position could be a pain all season.

If some teams like Chicago, Buffalo or Arizona continue to lose, maybe we can swing a trade.

I think you're overreacting a bit here. The defense has 9 sacks in the first 3 games and had 2 today. Also, one QB pressure and blocked pass resulted in a huge interception that stopped a 49er scoring drive. It's clear that the pass rush is improving and is above average now compared with the other teams in the league. I predict by mid-season, the pass rush will be vastly better and wreaking havoc on opposing QB's every week. :star:

I think Zimmer has trouble disguising schemes. That's what distinguishes the good or average defensive coordinators from the great ones. Jim Johnson, Bill Bellechik, Greg Williams are very good at this facet. Zimmer really doesn't seem to have that capability.

for the last time for some of you, "sacks" are a great glory stat, but its when and how you get them more than the shear number...if you get 2 or 3 sacks and then dont even breath on the guy the rest of the day, your pass rush sux...if you get 5 sacks but allow the other QB to throw rainbow bomb after rainbow bomb unscathed, your pass rush sux

when you cant get off the field on 3rd and 27, 4th and 15, 3rd and 12 etc etc, your pass rush sux

Took the words out of my mouth.

Delhomme is pedestrian, Galloway is a tool, and before the season I predicted that Carolina was the worst team in their division. NO might prove me wrong there, but there are still 13 games to go.

I dont think taht Sf is the worst team in the NFL. I think Arizona is, and they played like it again today. SF played like a good football team today, like it or not, I think we didnt game plan correctly for them, and for taht I blame BP. We still got the win, and for that I am happy, however, we should prolly look more closely at teams in the future. For Roy Williams to say that they dont have a deep threat.......did he have a pregame pow-pow with Ricky williams and QC????? What the hell does he think Johnny Morton and Arnez battle are there for? Morton runs great routes, and Battle is straight up fast...........we won, thats all that matters, if we can win games, enough games, we dont need to change.......if we keep the 2-1 margin the rest of the season, we'll be 12-4 and into the playoffs, maybe even NFCE champs......will it happen, prolly not, but it could.

Agree on all topics, but I will give the Cowboys a pass for not getting a free agent safety or drafting one. Can't get everything in 1 year.

We are SO much better than last year, BUT have a ways to go where we all want to go.

Zimmer just doesn't have it. I wish he was let go yesterday.

Good points, But good teams find a way to get it done. You cannot play perfect ball for 16 weeks it's unattainable. The W is all that matters

I don't care how many sacks we have. WATCH THE GAME! Our pass rush SUCKS. PERIOD. Quit looking at the boxscore and actually watch the game. When we go into our nickel our DL disappears.

Oh really? What was Zimmer's excuse the previous 5 years?

I think Zimmer has trouble disguising schemes.

That's part of it. Did you notice the 9ers and all their pre-snap movement on defense? You don't see any pre-snap movement from our DL.

Who is asking them to be perfect? I just want them ( the DL in pass rushing situations in our Nickel/Dime defenses) to ACT like they want a sack. They show no "Hunger" to get to the QB. They slow play and wait to react to the OL, instead of ATTACKING and forcing the OL to react to them. They show no heart whatsoever in getting to the QB.

Wow Rack dont allow things like FACTS get in the way of your opinion.

Im looking for the league statistics for pressures cause there have been quite a few of those as well.

SF had only given up 3 sacks all to the Eagles before today which means they blanked the Broncos. Maybe their pass protection is pretty good and we did well to get what we did.

But no your opinion is king because you play DE

How many games have you watched, or how many CBs have you watched?
Remember last season, all of our CBs played worse than Henry did today, all season long, not just one game, all season.

Your other points are valid, especially about the pass rush, we might need to play Canty and Spears more. Do you know how many snaps they are getting?
They need to go ahead and move Ware around like they said they are thinking of doing.

We'll be alright. I do agree that Zimmer needs to go, should have been gone when Campo left. I would not worry too much about Henry.

Rack, remember this is a new season, last season is over and done with, we were only 4 games better than SF last season. Most of SF problems last season was QB play.

I really did nto think that SF neede to draft a QB.

That's a load of crap. I guess Henry is one of those "off limits" players? HE PLAYED LIKE A** TODAY. PERIOD. I'm not saying he's a bad player, I"m not saying he'll suck the rest of the year. I'm saying he SUCKED today.

And did YOU watch any games last year? None of our CBs looked THAT bad last year. They were bad, but not THAT bad. Henry made Lloyd look like Jerry Rice.

Your other points are valid

Oh the other points are valid...

You're right, Henry was a monster out there today! Randy Moss is shaking in his boots.

 X2

Yes give teh rookie who is learning a new position in a new defense in a new, tougher league MORE stuff to learn. That's intelligent.

Lets see Ware become somewhat effective in this current spot before we start moving him around.. whaddya say?

We'll be alright. I do agree that Zimmer needs to go, should have been gone when Campo left. I would not worry too much about Henry.

I'm not worried about Henry. Not at all. I just pointed out the obvious... that he played horribly today. Extremely horribly.

Rack, remember this is a new season, last season is over and done with, we were only 4 games better than SF last season. Most of SF problems last season was QB play.

Yes, and we made their QB look like Joe Montana on steroids. It's a new year, but I'm seeing the same old problems from the past 5 years. We have never had a good, consistent pass rush with Zimmer as the DCoord. I agree he's struggling running the 3-4... which is why we should of let him go last year. Either him, or our DL coach. Cuz our nickel pass rush is horrible. It's been that way for years.

I really did nto think that SF neede to draft a QB.

I agree. I said before the draft that they should of drafted Braylon Edwards.

Oh man... could you imagine how bad we would of looked if they had a real WR like Edwards? OMG... I feel sick.

I guess we were watching two different Cowboys secondary these past years. Because those guys got ate up last season for 31 TD passes, 31. You can say what youwant to say but our secondary players everyone of them has looked like crap the years prior to this one.

Brandon Lloyd is a good receiver, he just might be SF next Rice. Battle is the one who surprised me. I had read that Lloyd was probable or Questionable, so I felt like we did not have to worry about anyone else, I was hoping he did not play today.

I do not know if you have ever heard about Lloyd before today, but you might ought to go and do some research on him, this is his 2 or 3rd season.

We all know Rattay has the talent, I do not know how long he has been in the league now, but he came into the league with some credentials.

Let that go, man. I love blow outs, but today I liked this game. The team showed me something again, it lets me know that the first game of the season was no fluke.
So now whenever we are behind I will not feel that we are done, because I know that we have the Defense and the offense to come from behind.
