Former Cowboy QB Carter Ready To Play AF2 Ball
It has been an interesting journey for Quincy Carter as a professional quarterback.
Once the bright young star of the Dallas Cowboys, Carter was released because of alleged drug use from the Cowboys and the New York Jets.
Now, Carter is making a new pro start in East Texas' backyard. Carter will lead the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings in arena football this season.
The team held its "Meet the Media" event Thursday afternoon. Carter was the focus of most of the media's attention and the questions to his teammates.
"It's been great to be back in football," Carter said. "One thing I cherish is the relationships that I've developed on my football team. All of my teammates have welcomed me just like I was one of their friends for years. So it's been good to get back around the guys again. I'm enjoying them, they're enjoying us but right now I'm just looking forward to Saturday night."
The Battle Wings open the season Saturday, April 7, when they host the Fort Wayne Fusion. It is a 7 p.m. start at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City.

I wish him well, despite how a lot of people feel about him.
