Quincy Carter Would Like That $5 Million

Quincy Carter, as you might remember, was part of a truly great period of time for the Dallas Cowboys. It was arguably the greatest three-way QB race, involving Carter, Vinny Testaverde and Drew Henson.

Then he was released and the circumstances around that release were very vague. There was a lot of talk about a failed drug test and that he was dumped for non-football reasons. In an interview with WCNN in Atlanta, Carter -- who was arrested just a week ago on a probation violation -- tried to play the victim in his fight with the Cowboys. What does he want? $5 million he thinks he's owed because of what essentially amounts to wrongful termination.

But the 5 million that the Cowboys owe me, it's not fair to say they don't owe me that money when they broke the rules. That's all I'm saying. But I'm the one who has gotten myself into trouble and I'll just leave it at that.
He also offered some interesting thoughts about his own personal struggles, where I'm relatively sure he somehow lumps together overeaters, racists and drug addicts:

"I would say it's a personal issue you have to work on every day. It's almost like a bigger person not being able to put down a candy bar. It's almost like a racist person not being able to say, "Oh I don't like this group of people." It's something that you got to work on. I hate to use those two analogies but it's something that I'm gonna have to continue to work on everyday."

Ah yes, all the colors in the rainbow there, my friends. If we're lucky, they'll give Quincy Carter some sort of reality show where he can give out even more of these life lessons. Oh, and good luck prying that $5 million from Jerry Jones. Seeing as how he couldn't really stick in the NFL after that, he's going to have a hard time proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that his skill was up to par and he was only cut for drug-related reasons.

I miss Kartr.

Why are we still hearing about this guy? :bang2:

Exactly.

He screwed up and now he's blaming everyone else. What's he going to do with that money anyway besides smoke it up? He had his chance, now he wants a hand out.

I'm tired of hearing about him. Seriously.

He needs to go away seriously. I felt sorry for him at first but Quincy is an idiot.

Wrongful termination.

:lmao2:

You were waived because you blew chunks. No team would give you $5 million at this point.

Crankcase, you are a trip.

He may not be the worst QB we ever had, but (he's in the discussion) there is no doubt he is the most delusional.

LOL! Still trying to get that 5 million. I guess it's harder and harder to finance the lifestyle on 200 dollars a week playing football, instead of millions.

I understand him wanting the $5 million.

He's not legally entitled to it, and he will not be able to prove a wrongful termination. But I understand why he would push it.

He may even file a suit. And Jerry Jones may even throw something his way ($100k?) as nuisance money.

But he has not legal right to it. He was terminated because he sucked.

This reminds me of that article or Blog a guy wrote about Quincy, i.e. Quincy always blaming someone for everything that happens and being most uncoachable guy etc ( most of us thought that was a hit piece, but man, how dead on that guy was and is)? Don't feel like searching for it, I am sure it can be still be found somewhere.

Not to belabor the QC stories, but I went to an Abilene RuffRiders game the other day, for whom he is the starting qb, and I couldn't believe how much he hasn't changed! The first play from scrimmage he fumbled the snap. Later in the game he threw three passes in a row into the stands when he had an open receiver. Yeah, Quincy, it was all about the drugs.

We still won tho. Thats all that counts and I dont think that first fumble was him. The ******* could have thrown one of the balls to me in the stands tho he was looking right at me.
