Quinnen Williams film breakdown

It’s a far cry from watching Mazi and Osa get pushed 10 yards down field on run plays. Lol
Night and Day difference! lol

So glad Jerry was able to get this trade for Quinnen Williams finalized. In the presser I posted above, one of the reporters surprised Quinnen by telling him Jerry had actually been trying to trade for Quinnen since right before this season started (during the Micah trade to GB), but the Jets were not interested in trading away Quinnen at the time......until now.

Can you imagine how different our season would have been so far if the Jets had agreed to trade Quinnen to us before this season started? Huge difference in results, I bet. Just glad we've got him now, even if too late to salvage this season.

Thanks AC. Giving you a bump with some Jets fan perspectives.

I follow the Jets and wanted to post some of their fan content.

I’m a 100% Cowboy fan but my best friend as a kid came from NY when we were 8 and his dad was our coach all through elementary school and … we were the Jets. Cowboys were taken by a team from a neighborhood a few miles away.

Anyway, they became my “AFC Team” and when they were on Channel 5, I watched at his house. Since they have almost always sucked, there’s never been a conflict and when there was, I wanted to stomp them. lol.

All that to say that I watch all their games, usually on Monday or Tuesday and follow their moves during free agency and the draft.

Q has been my favorite Jet so I’m thrilled to have him. He’s a class act and a total pro.

I do think we paid too much, which is why I dinged us in the poll, but whatever. For Jerry this is an A grade.

Jets X-Factor - this is gonna be a hard one for some folks but this guy is a serious Jets fan and while he gives Q a bit of a downvote for this year, it’s honestly a fair grade for *this year so far*.

He expects a bounce back and so do I. I think is going to be re-energized with the move to Dallas.

If you want to see some really detailed Q film breakdown from a guy who knows what he’s looking at, this is a good one. He breaks down Qs positioning and best moves. I love this guys film breakdowns.

Jets Film Room - Single game breakdown vs the Steelers, which was a good game for Q.

Baldy’s Breakdown just for fun. I love Baldy. :)

Its Very hard for a player to do his best when the rest of the team sucks and its loss after loss
that little bit extra you get when being on a contending team just is not there
which of course means that coming here is not terribly different in some respects
BUT at least here he knows he has a real offense; and reasonable hope next year will be better
unlike being on the Jets

Agreed, but Jerry only negotiates in September, not March.

Oooh, that's even worse brother @ArtClink !

That hurts us so badly.
It pains me as well, but Jerry is not changing anything in his playbook. I think Jerry has been getting even more defiant in his ways, making critical decisions on our top players based on his emotions (we have a teenager making all the football decisions), rather than what’s best for the team.

LOL, brother!! A teenager is exactly what I was thinking when it comes to Jerry today at his age.

I'm sure the Jets didn't want to trade off their best players before the season with a new coach everyone was excited about. No way they expected to be as bad as they were.

But once they were, might as well load up for a rebuild.

I can’t wait to see him dominate . A steep price but a productive building block . Keep Kenny Clark and Solomon Thomas as well let’s not go backwards .
Agreed. We finally might have the interior that we've needed for years. Even if we still struggle in areas of the defense, keep this interior intact and build around it. Our problem on defense is we simply do not do enough. Since football is a team sport, if you have weak links, the opponent is going to exploit those. For years, our interior DL has been one of those weak links, and with the scheme we run, you need it to be one of your strengths.

I think Q. Williams, Clark, S. Thomas and Odighizuwa is a nice complement of defensive tackles. If Toia can develop, he might add to that. I liked what I saw from Winfrey in the preseason as well, but don't know how he'll perform in actual games.

Frankly, I'm still a little surprised by it. He's under contract through 2027, so I thought that they would see him as someone to build around. Of course, Sauce Gardner is under contract through 2030, so I'm not sure what the Jets are doing. You'd think they would only have been looking to dump players at the end of their deals.
