That's what Coughlin is playing at now, he's trying to get the players angry at the media and united v.s. them and Dallas. Apparently there was a miscommunication between Plastico and Strahan and the media and the media is at fault for stirring.

This does scare me a bit , not to mention Umenyoria may play as well as Madison and Short.

And something tells me Strahan is playing this up and will make a GameTime appearance to play the game.

No doubt about it and if I was Coughlin I'd be saying the same thing. The media is having a frenzy over the comments coming out of NY (see TO is not the only focus in the media) and right now Coughlin is trying to get his troops to start pulling together instead of apart, they also know how big this game is. Having said that I still think football comes down to making plays and executing the game plan and not what is being said prior to the game. I have never seen a team win by talking a better game

Dallas is pissed and out to win as well, who wants it more, who makes less mistakes. I expect both play hard, blood, broken bones, players on IR just hopefully none of them are Cowboys.

Do you honestly believe in the "us against the world" angle for this Giants team?

My belief is that the team has turned on Coughlin, and the players have turned on each other. No way that so much finger pointing goes away in one week after 1 players only meeting.

All of these guys have monster egos and lots of money. There is no way that they sit in a circle and sing "kumbaya".

I think that is what he is trying to do to get his team back together. I don't expect the giants players to go out with each other but I do think Coughlin understands the need to find a common bond which is winning. I think the giants are frustrated but I do think they have talent and the ability to pull things together. After all this is not the 1st time players on this team have done this and managed to regroup. I do think a loss to Dallas could mean the end of the season for the giants because of the magnitude of the game and what is at stake for them, another loss and I think things get a lot worse for them. Heres to hoping things get a lot worse. :laugh2:

Emotion probably impacts the game in the beginning. After a few series, it wears off.

As for the "rallying the troops" cry, that's overblown and overrated.

If we spank the Giants, they'll be back to their bickering selfs, just as if we were losing everything TO says would be magnified.

If the Giants win, they'll try to point to their "team refocusing" as a reason for their turnaround.

The perception depends on the final results.

Yes it does...

If only the Giants knew that, which they will at the end of the game...
