Keith Davis-DB- Raiders Jul. 13 - 5:25 pm et

Raiders released S Keith Davis.

Davis, 30, signed in March to compete on special teams, but offers less value on defense than Hiram Eugene, Michael Huff, Mike Mitchell, or Tyvon Branch. Eugene and Mitchell are probably going to open the season as starters

I think they vastly underrate his value as a bullet magnet. Sign him Jerry!

We should at least bring him back in case someone goes down.

Every team that signs him releases him before they even get to Camp.

Except us.

I noticed that too. Hmmm... :rolleyes:

I'd say it's time to move on without him thank you.

He is a troublemaker and would definitely get cut in the first round, but you never know. There is probably a reason we let him go. I guess. We also signed TO after he disrespected us to the 10th degree so I dont know what to think.

I agree...I get a bad feeling about him. Lets move on with the rookies and potentially one of those reality show guys.

Seems like there's a lot of new-found hate for a guy who was never any more than Parcells said he would be - an outstanding special teams stud - and an emergency backup at safety. We don't need him back here any longer, but the, "See ya! Don't let the door hit ya!" attitude from the "fans" seems a bit extreme.

Keith Davis isn't a trouble maker.

He was let go in free agency due to his age and lack of upside.

Well, he chose to leave months ago so you picking up on that is a little late.

He's been shot twice. Not a troublemaker?

i dont think the cowboys will shut the door on him completely;
remember after miami cut him we didnt sign him till later;
then we signed him for regular season after we were having trouble with our special teams coverages;

so i think the cowboys will wait and see how the special teams young player do, if alittle trouble, then the cowboys might sign keith davis'

I believe he is now injury prone. His marginal skills other than ST will not make him worthy of a roster spot.

With the Cowboys putting a heavier emphasis on coverage there's no chance he comes back.

You're right. Too many young guys with upside. He jumped ship and is now out of luck.

No, he was killed by his crazy girlfriend.

What a dumb question.

McNair shot by crazy person = Victim

Davis shot by crazy person = trouble maker

seems to me there's a bit of a double standard there

You don't know who shot Davis both times. You don't have to be crazy to shoot someone.

Seems like you're reaching.
