Much ado about nothing. The scouts' work is done by now. Not a bad idea to tighten the ship as the board comes into focus.

That Gil Brandt nugget was worth the price of admission.
I like the old stories about they used to hide players in motel rooms so they could sign them after the draft was over.

There was some unusual story about drafting Ralph Neely an offensive tackle with the Cowboys and stashing him so the AFL could not sign him away.

Maybe somebody knows that one.

I loved that Danny Noonan pick.
didn't turn out like I thought....but he did play well under Coach Landry.
everybody was high on Noonan.

Jim Dent, the sportswriter who published the story ended up in prison twice.

That article may have been why the Browns traded up for Junkin. Turned out to be a huge bust. Interesting to see major ripples across the NFL because of one greedy scout.
