Murray took some big shots today and it showed. Swearinger was throwing himself recklessly at him. until he hurt hisself doing it anyway

Im sure the plan was t o hit Murray and hit him hard every chance they got and it did seem to hurt him but he kept getting back up so whatever

Watt didn't abuse Tyron on that play, the snap count was completely off because the Oline barely moved.

I noticed the same thing. Romo still had his hand in the air pointing at something. Snap was early.

The turnovers contributed to the defense looking fatigued later in the game.

It was more than that. They were running at will end of game. Fosters carries on the tying drive he was 10 yards down the field before contact. Coincided with R McClain exit.

JJ Wilcox made some big plays. He had a QB hit and some nice tackles at the line for no gain.

This is the first time all year I have been impressed with his play.

Turnovers kept Dallas from winning big, IMO.

Murray fumble - They were in easy Field Goal range with a good shot at a TD.

Romo INT - Again, they were in FG range with a good chance for a TD.

Harris fumble - He fumbled on a kick return.

The turnovers contributed to the defense looking fatigued later in the game.

Rolando McClain was injured at some point and IIRC, he didn't return.

Romo had 2 miracle type throws with one coming after he evaded Watt.

Dez had a miracle type catch late on one of Romo's miracle throws.

Watt was not a huge factor in the game. He did whip Tyron on one outside rush that was the worst play that I've seen by Tyron this season. Watt was in and out of the lineup and possibly limited with a quad strain.

The defense struggled with Arian Foster. The Texans had at least 3 big runs outside when the RDE was Jack Crawford. One of those might have been the fault of Durant, because when the DE crashes down inside, the LB has to maintain outside run support, but Durant allowed himself to get blocked to the inside.

I can't remember seeing much of Spencer but I wasn't too focused on looking for him. They need more snaps from him and less from Jack Crawford going forward.

My initial impression was the Melton didn't do much, but T. Crawford was good again. It appears that T. Crawford is the #1 DL on the team now. He's the best 3-tech DT which he played this week and last and he was probably the best DE when he played there in the first 3 games.

JJ Wilcox made some big plays. He had a QB hit and some nice tackles at the line for no gain.

Scandrick had an INT. The only thing previously keeping Scandrick from being an elite CB was a lack of INTs.

Moore looked decent as the 3rd CB.

Hitchens was the 3rd LB and looked OK from my initial impression. He almost had an INT when the Texans were about to score. He got a good read on the play and was in good position but the ball went through his hands. It good to see a rookie understanding the mental side of the game as well as he does.

Despite an INT on a great play by Houston's Safety to sky for the ball, Romo was good and had to be far more than a bus driver to win this game.

Murray again got yards when they needed them, but had another lost fumble and is going to get worn down at this pace. Randle came in and got a 1st down despite multiple defenders penetrating into the backfield. I'm not sure why he doesn't get just a few more carries. IIRC, Dunbar only lined up as a slot WR.

T. Williams had a big drop but also had a big catch. He does a lot of things well including run blocking.

There was multiple penalties against the Cowboys on returns.

Harris broke loose for a big return late in the game.

They have this rotation where Crawford and Melton are on the field together and that one looks real nice.

That was an awesome game. Why does it feel like this year luck may have finally shifted our way?

I thought our defense played great. Giving up 17 pts with 3 turnovers, big stop at the end. They did what needed to be done.

That Dez catch might also have been the best play I've seen this season. What a grab.

Lucky to walk away with a win today.

Poor coaching and even worse execution to allow the Texans to tue up the game.

I agree that we need to play Dunbar and Randle more. Murray is worn down already.

I don't like how T Williams is catching the ball. He needs to attack the ball and catch with his hands and not his body if he wants to be a better receiver.

OL is very good.
DL needs a pass rusher and a RDE. Our RDE don't set the edge well and allowed RB to bounce outside for big gains.

Oh, I hate Romo's throw and duck motion. Those balls are off target and often under thrown.

Nice recap...but I thought Wilcox was awful tackling in space today

Wilcox had an excellent open field stop on a receiver screen that went for minimal yardage. Without that, it would have been a huge play for the Texans. (Not sure if it was Andre Johnson or DeAndre Hopkins, doesn't really matter).

Another game, another Murray fumble. But somehow, he supposedly is elite.

Bryant disappears for large stretches. Then reappears in a big way.

Still cannot rush the rusher from the front four. Is anyone on the DL a long term solution?

Thank god Fitzpatrick is their QB.

I agree with you about Bryant. That's one thing I've always noticed throughout his career. I've never seen him dominate a full 60 minutes like I've seen Megatron do on a weekly basis. Perhaps it's the playcalling, but he does seem to disappear.

Defense is much improved....Now if they can just find away to get to the QB...if this defense can find a pass rusher it will change everything....cant wait for DLAW to return

call me crazy, but I don't see Johnson dominating this year like he has in the past.....Could Linehan be responsible for a lot of his past success...think Linehan will unleash DEZ once teams start focusing on stopping Murray.........This offense is just beginning to take off....

You might be right, but I'm not sure why Linehan would be responsible for CJ's success and number of targets in Detroit but then come to Dallas and do the complete opposite. Maybe he wanted to have a more balanced offense in Detroit but decided to just go to CJ every play because they didn't have anyone else.
