Rams aren't going anywhere with Bradford and they have him locked up

when Manziel was mentioned in here, I threw up a little bit in my mouth....no thank you....

...besides, trading up to #2 means we give up at least 2 first rounders (this year and next) plus more...the rams already fleeced one team with that thought process and they know that is is possible....no thank you....keep our picks, and make the lines better

And in giving up those picks for Manziel, you'd be taking the guy with the biggest bust factor of most of the projected early first round picks.

No thank you.

If they go up to get Clowney I will be overjoyed. Swap 1's.. Give up next years 1.. and this years 2nd and 2 7ths. Still leaves us with more than 7 picks this year because of the compensatory picks we should be getting and we should get a bunch next year as well for guys like Hatcher.

At #2, the best choices are Clowney or Mack. Honestly, I prefer Mack. Just love his motor and aggression.

Sweet so next year's 1, and our 2nd and 3rd rounder from this year for Manziel.

Sounds like a total recipe for success.

We would be more likely to swap with their 13th pick to jump in front of Chicago if anything. We cannot afford to jump to #2. And if we did, I would rather they used it for Clowney or Mack.

Signing Melton basically eliminates any pick we would have gotten for Hatcher.

Doing so also means that we should be trading in the opposite direction of where the Rams are.

Trading up for Manziel means you should probably check out for the next 5-6 years of Cowboys football. A disaster of epic proportions.

Can't trade comp picks so I don't know that multiple 7th rounders is feasible.

Only player I would go and get with the second round pick is Clowney other than that..No Thanks

I much rather have the draft picks than moved up to Number 2.

I tend to agree but Mack is intriguing. But that would be a very big risk. Clowney seems like the safest pick if you make that move.

Which is why I really hope we don't do it. Even Clowney has some bust potential. Keep the picks.

The Rams are in really good shape right now.
They already were building a nice young roster, but this year they have a shot to separate themselves from the center of the pack going forward.
I'm envious.

sure. but you can really set yourself apart by getting a top 2 guy rather than a couple of top 15 picks and some 2nd and 3rd rounders

Agree.

I was thinking more of a situation where they still get the elite player they want by barely dropping down due to a QB desperate team trading up.
A player like Clowney or Robinson are too good to pass up. If they dropped from 2 to 4, for example, they coul still get one of those guys while adding an early 2ndand3rd rounder..or a 2015 1st rounder plus maybe a 3rd. Cleveland jumping ahead of Jacksonville would be one example.
Sweet situation

I'm thinking Atlanta will be the one to move up for Clowney if Houston takes Bortles.

Could be. I think Atlanta would consider it a home run if they got either Clowney or Robinson...but neither may still be there at 6.
Then again, if two teams really want Watkins and Mack and then at least 2 of the 3 QBs go, one of those two slips to them.
