Rams get #1 overall

oh i see....that would make Bosa the best DE in this draft right? because all the talent evaluators say so?

Save yourself some time and embarrassment, Tunsil is considered the best player in this draft by almost everyone.

Do some research, watch some tape and move along, this is not an argument you really want to make, I mean this honestly.

Apparently you have not spent enough time on Tunsil.

Who was saying the Rams were going after Wentz?

The Los Angeles Rams are leaning toward making Cal quarterback Jared Goff the top overall pick after acquiring the selection Thursday from the Tennessee Titans, but a team source added that the team would also consider North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz before they have to make the pick on April 28.
that was my first impression also Vin, Rams and Goff are perfect for each other.

honestly if we were at #1, you wouldn't pass on Tunsil?

Dallas would have the discussion but already have a solid OL and may opt for other options only for that reason.

They could trade to a team that needs a LT.

However, Tunsil is the cleanest and best player in this draft regardless but QB's trump everything as we see in this trade.

fair point...let's see if Tunsil is the first non-qb to go off the board in the draft.

Brugler was saying he could fall out of the top 5 depending on what happens though the Chargers could take him:

The best player in the NFL Draft fell out of the top-5 last year (Leonard Williams). And it could happen again this year with Laremy Tunsil.

say hello to Dane next time you see him...i'll wait and see what happens.

Could you imagine....

I could not. I could imagine Tunsil, Collins, Fredbeard, Martin, Smith and even then, I could not imagine it for very long but yeah, that I could see. That would be pretty cool but I just don't think we could afford to keep them all.

i couldn't imagine Smith playing RT

lol. no chance we draft tunsil if he's there at 4. guaranteed.

Realistically though, wouldn't Romo's contract be coming off the books around the time we have to start resigning these guys considering the 5th year option we have on them? The absolute best alternative to not having a franchise QB lined up after Romo would be to have an insane OL and RB to tide us over in the process for finding his successor.

We would absolutely stay competitive, and it would be the best possible environment for an incoming rookie QB. Salary cap is exploding recently and I would honestly rather pay our own drafted players than go free agent hunting.

I think we all understand the concern with drafting Tunsil, and I would rather have Bosa if he is graded well by our scouts, but I don't think it is as ridiculous as it sounds to draft Tunsil at 4.

I don't see anyone trading down to 2, not the niners not the eagles. Both teams have a lot invested in their QB. I also am not convinced that the Browns are taking a QB at 2, I think they may wait til the 2nd round. I think the Cowboys may still be in the running for the QB. If the Browns do take a QB, I'm alright with Zeke or a trade down. You don't spend the 4th pick for a RT or a safety.

or a RB

Maybe so...time will tell. Although I would imagine the Jets would gladly trade two Leonard Williams and roll the dice that either Winston or Marcus may turn into franchise QB's. If one were to turn into a franchise QB, the Jets would be an instant super bowl contender. Now they are a potential good team without a real chance of winning a super bowl.

Cowboys will now very likely add either of the 2 best non-QB prospects(Ramsey/Tunsil) by far in the draft....actually 3 if you include Elliot. Things could be worse.

I think you gotta draft a QB and develop him. If you don't, then you don't really know how long it might take to get one after Tony is done. You can't count on having the opportunity to take one that turns out and you still have the time needed to develop one. I think that it's risky to do it that way. What you probably end up with is another series of 8-8 seasons where your not good enough to win but your also not bad enough to draft a QB. You end up spending a lot of money on an FA and then you don't have the cap to sign other players or keep your own.

I'd love Tunsil. Any team would. But our team is too much of a hot mess in other areas to be adding yet another player to what is arguably the best unit in the league. It's either trade down to fill holes or use the pick on an impact player at another position IMO.
