Rams get #1 overall

So what would a team trading up from 4 take?:D;) Told you we wouldn't have to pay full price...2nd, 3rd and next year's 1st comes to the same values

Trading up to where, Big?
1st?

I'm not sure we'd have had to pay full price (always said 95-100%) but generally the further back you are the more wiggle room you have. I mean, the Titans came away like thieves with all those picks..why squabble for an extra 4th?

But with us, they'd be getting less picks, so of course they'd want almost the full 3000. Actually I bet they'd prefer 90% value of all that they got from the Rams vs 100% value of what we could give them.

But yeah, we may have only had to pay 2900 instead of 3000

You're right, our 4th overall, 34th, 3rd rounder and next year's 1st would do it...but that is a TON to give up to only move up 3 spots.

Thats insane. You've invested enough in offensive line. This team doesn't get considerably better by adding him. Go get a right tackle in the 3rd round if you need one.

Dam, adding Tunsil to this line would make it basically an All-Star unit.

Smith, Martin, Frederick, Collins, Tunsil................basically 5 first round picks on the offensive line, all in their 20s.:omg:

Plus they have the Rams 1st and 3rd round picks next year as well..................for a team starting a rookie QB, that 1st round pick might be top 10.

Based on the trade value chart, the Titans got around 90-95% of face value (depending on which chart you use, their pick was worth 3000 points)

So the experts saying that the QBs this year were so weak compared to other years that it would be cheaper to trade up apparently forgot to tell the Titans and Rams about this. Looking at the value chart, the Rams did not get a discount compared to any other years and paid basically full face value.

Moving from 1st overall that far down forces you to demand near face value. 4th overall on the other hand...

And should have...when has this organization had to actually develop a QB instead of one falling into their laps? We're going on hope again?

But unfortunately would likely only keep 3 long term unless some take hometown discounts (maybe Fred/Martin similar to Tyron?). Would be an awesome OL though and finally rid this team of another liability in Free.

We cant keep them all, heck Collins is probably gone after 2 years no matter what.

I'm not with you (and some others) in thinking Dallas should've tried to trade up.
But I do get the argument.

It depends on if the front office felt any of those QBs were worth the 1st overall pick in the draft.
I'm pretty certain they did not.

Titans cleaned up. 6 of the top 76 picks? Holy moly.

yeah looks like murray went to a team that will be on the rise, I think the titans will be in the playoffs this year,
and if they make some good picks, they could be stronger next year.

He could but honestly, I think we either work out a trade at that spot for a team like Tennessee to move up or he falls no further then the Ravens. I think they would snap him up quick.

That trade would be ideal for us and yes, he is not dropping too far.

Fair and true. Respect on calling out us not making the move up.

I don't think Cleveland will go QB with the Number 2 selection. I think they shock the world and take the LT or CB or trade back. They have RG3 so they may be planning on a round 2 or 3 QB to bring along slowly. Drafting a Top QB and playing him has not worked out well for them. But I am still all on board us trading back and taking a QB in round 2. So this trade does not affect my thoughts on the draft.

All 25 or younger.

You think, or hope?

With his size, hitting ability, blitzing ability and range, I think he's better as a safety.

If they keep Jones at safety... Ramsey (if drafted by Dallas) would start his career at corner.

I would prefer that... then maybe later on in his career he can go to safety.

Is Ramsey more of a fit as a modern (coverage SS) or CB? I'm assuming CB first? I didn't watch many FSU games to know if he can lay a lick so really asking tbh?

From what I've read from Sturm and others he much better suited at safety and there are a couple of better "pure" corners out there. I'd take him easily though.

Sorry not reading all pages but if you take Tunsil are you putting him at LT or RT because if you think RT you'd pass right? I understand guys can switch but I don't go 4 with RT. It's Clevelands issue with Thomas set

THats wrong,Ramsey best position is SS because he is amazing blitzer and he can cover the slot and TEs and he is not afraid to tackle.our safety combo with Jones and Ramsey will be a miraculous improvement over Wilcox and Church.
