Not a great situation. I'm in camp Goff, Wentz or trade down. It's looking like a trade down scenario, however you obviously need someone wanting to trade up bad enough.
Taking Ramsey is a recipe for screwing this pick up. Simply because the Cowboys are almost certainly going to develop him as a CB. It's pretty clear from all the talk around the team that Jones is going to be developed as a safety, which leaves the need at CB, and it would be hard for the Cowboys to justify taking a guy at 4 who can fill a need there and not playing him that position. I feel like they will do it even if they know it's not his best position and the chatter from guys like Spagnola seem to confirm this. Which means we likely don't get that difference maker we should be getting with the no. 4 pick.
Here's hoping either Goff somehow slips down to us, or we can find a trade partner to grab a haul of picks and move down. I also wouldn't waste a pick on a mid round QB. If we can't get one of the top rated QB's in this draft, I think we try again next year. I'd try and get some picks in next years draft in a package to move down from 4 in order to give us more assets to do that. We don't need to waste picks and time on a developmental QB with more limited upside and high bust potential, we need to try and get someone with a decent chance to be a franchise guy, or at least the very least a good starter.
