Rams Release DE Chris Long & LB James Laurinaitis; Cowboys Interested?

Just announced. Saw a couple tweets saying Cowboys will be interested, albeit from random/unconfirmed accounts. Long is 30 and Laurinaitis 29, both might have some left in the tank. Thoughts?

Long seems like he's slipping. Never been impressed with Laurinaitus and Cook is a never was. I would not bother.

The guy peaked about 4-5 years ago and has been on a harsh decline since. He is on the wrong side of 30. I'm not going to say no. I'm going to say, Hell No.

We do need a TE. Witten is all we have right now. Hanna is an UFA and Escobar suffered an Achilles injury.

I would take Laurinaitis. He seems to me to be more or less cut because he was overpaid instead of not being able to play anymore. I could be wrong, but I think he would be an immediate upgrade over McClain.

I would take all to provide depth. I wouldn't count on any to carry any position. Of course, I doubt they'd come to be backups.

I would get Laurinaitis because he is dependable. Also, the Cowboys won't have any dropoff in production if Laurinaitis takes over for Lee or McClain if they are out with an injury.

He would be a upgrade over the bad McClain but when McClain is on...... There's no comparisons.
