Laurinaitis has had over a 100 tackles every season in his career. If McClain walks at least he should be an option and so should Long especially with Mincey leaving he can be that end that rotates. I'm sure a team like the patriots get him and he will have 10-12 sacks lol

Brace yourselves....it's "so-and-so has been released, should we get him" season.

i saw my phone give me the headline saying this happened and i knew there would be a WE MUST HAVE THESE REJECTS!!! thread.

I've always been disappointed in Cook. Fast and big. Not much on any of these although wouldn't surprise me if any of them got a year or even two left.

I think you have to kick the tires some.....adding vets for depth never is a bad thing if they make you BETTER!! Otherwise your playing guys like Coleman, Bishop and Gachkar???? If the price is right and your evaluations say there is value...pursue....I don't think Freeney, Chris Johnson and Brandon Marshall hurt their teams last year, washed up vets????

The fans are just doing what the team does. Players come free, are we interested in these players?

What's the problem?

He would be a upgrade over the bad McClain but when McClain is on...... There's no comparisons.

If he's willing to settle for being depth with the opportunity to start, I think he's an upgrade from

WIth Jared Mayo retiring, I think he takes far less money to go to NE

Out of the 3 give me Cook. Long is a walking injury, and Linus would be a similar move to signing the Buffalo LB last year who we cut.

All 3 have been very good. I don't know their health status but they have a strong track record.

The defense is slow and adding these guys will not solve that problem.

Long and Laurinaitis would both make a lot of sense for the right money. Long can play both DE spots and Laurinaitis can play all three LB spots. Neither is going to set the world on fire, but when healthy, both are good players and hard workers. Unfortunately, staying healthy has been a problem for Long the last two seasons.
