Rams Will Challenge the Cowboys
http://profootballtalkline.com/nfl/...news/108548/rams-will-challenge-cowboys.html/
Just when it feels like we still need to gloat over the win for the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night, you realize that it’s already Thursday and there’s a new focus, the Los Angeles Rams. It’s a short week of preparation for Dallas and the Rams are coming off three extra day’s rest, time to get back to work.
These aren’t the Jeff Fisher Rams anymore. Through three weeks, they are closer to the Greatest Show on Turf, averaging 35.7 points per game, which is tops in the NFL so far this season. Some of those points have been scored by the defense, but rookie head coach Sean McVay has an offense that is very difficult to defend. The offensive wunderkind has the Rams heading in the right direction and they can attack the Cowboys in a number of ways. Todd Gurley is back to his old form; he already has six touchdowns on the season and is second in the league in total yards, at 127 per game. Los Angeles also has the receivers to spread the defense out and quarterback Jared Goff is markedly improved in his second year. That’s a tough challenge for a secondary that’s already shorthanded and could be without Sean Lee if his hamstring doesn’t allow him to play. It’s a tall order for the Dallas’ defense, even with Lee.
Last week the Cowboys were able to settle down defensively after a rough start by pressuring Carson Palmer. That will be a tougher task this week, the Rams’ revamped offensive line has only allowed three sacks on the season...
