At the beginning of Cowboys camp Wednesday, owner Jerry Jones endorsed Joseph Randle as Dallas' "No. 1 back."

Specifically, Jones "expressed confidence" that Randle can handle the load as Dallas' lead runner. The Cowboys are expected to mix in washed-up Darren McFadden and scatback Lance Dunbar, but Randle is in position to open the season as the starter. A fifth-round pick in the 2013 draft, Randle is a questionable talent, albeit one poised to run behind the NFL's premier offensive line.

I'm more concerned about rankle off the field than on it
Don't think he is going to come close to the carries Murray had so the ability to handle the load doesn't concern me
Anyone can get hurt but I don't think he will get more than 15-18 carries a game so he should be able to handle that
I worry about the tough yards and think he will need some big carries to off set those tough yards
With Dmac I worry about staying healthy which has been a real issue for him but he has talent
Dunbar is nice in space but teams know that's his strength and he will have to run inside some to keep them honest

I don't have much faith but Randle is certainly the best option.

I think I'd be looking to incorporate more of a short passing game this season as an extension of the run game. Feature Beasley more.

We tried that with Cally running the offense, no thank you!

Randle is the only one that fits the profile of a lead back. McFadden did 5 years ago, but that ship has sailed and he is an ancillary player now.

Williams really called McFadden washed up?

That seems unprofessional by a media member.

And she wonders why the players don't want to do interviews in the locker room. She tried to get MaRion Barber fined for not speaking to the media a few years ago. Didn't Ratliff chase Calvin Watkins around the locker room before? LoL
