LOL, Randle, my man, delivering what will be one of the summer's best quotes, during the 1st week of OTA's. This guy.

Hope he delivers this year.

If it's true, then I'd chalk it up to bad coaching. should have been pounded in his head watching game film. Expect Chip Kelly to get the most out of Murray this year.

Yeah, Kind of Like how he coached up mccoy to stop dancing behind the line and losing yards. Except that he didnt.

The thing is, you open your mouth AFTER you've accomplished something. If Randle rushes for 2100 yards, then he can open his mouth and say something like that. Murray may not have 'ran into the daylight', but we'll see if Randle is a 3rd down conversion machine. We'll see if he is still on his feet after contact. When he shows the results, then he can talk.

Boy seanleebaby just came all the way out of the closet, didn't he? I've been on to him for a little while but he always kept up at least some pretense of being a Dallas fan. Or tried to.

How much can you tell everyone how awesome Murray was and how the players Dallas has now stink... before everyone realizes you're actually an Eagles fan?

But you must realize how stupid you sound complaining about it after the fact right? It's so fraudulent. But this is a fraudulent fanbase so...

It's true to say that Murray left a lot of meat on the bone for a back like Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch, Laveon Bell, and a few others.

But while Randle might have taken some of those runs to the house, there were some 8-10 yard runs that Randle couldn't have gotten that far.

Exactly. I'd prefer the tough yards that win games, rather than the game breaking runs.

We really need a tough, short yardage back.

Tough short yardage gains control clock.

Game breaking runs are few & far between.

8 in the box is going to be very interesting this year.

At least he is showing some confidence I guess... he better keep his butt out of trouble and back that up though, otherwise he's going to just be a big joke after this.

A lot of us used to say that the past two seasons and many others were clueless about it.. Still I'd like to see Randle duplicate this numbers or surpass them, have my doubts he can.. I see him in the 1,200 yd range...

I've seen quite a few people all year long complain about it and the only people who would really defend him were the hardcore fan boys but it was accepted but most individuals that his vision was poor and what made him good for us was the way he imposed his will.

It's funny how people retreat to stuff like this. It was all the offensive line people claimed, then counter-arguments showing facts had people back away from this. Exaggerations of his injury history, people backed away from that. Had trouble breaking tackles, making long runs above 20+/40+ yards, people backed away from that when shown the statistics since 1996 and how he averaged around the same as previous backs.

Now the criticisms have shifted to, he doesn't have "breakaway speed" and "poor vision". The breakaway speed can be countered with the fact that he has great initial burst at the line of scrimmage and great start and stop speed, the "poor vision" is something people retreat to because they think their eye tests are great observations and it's almost impossible to provide enough film evidence to create an argument against it.

It's stuff like this that tells me people create these petty complaints to make themselves feel good about our RB situation.

I'm not certain that Randle meant it the way it sounds. I don't know if he really understands the meaning of that phrase.

Yeah. It sort of sounded like he didn't realize he was saying something potentially uncool. But it's hard to imagine from context what he might have been thinking he meant, too. There aren't that many options.

Yeah, I won't criticize Randle for what he said. The title of this thread seemed to imply he blatantly took a shot at Murray. Reading the actual quote, it came off kinda harmless.
