Random Thoughts about the Giants...

1. Call me crazy, but I actually hope that they beat the Titans tomorrow.. I want next week's game to be a 1st place showdown, with both teams coming in at 7-4 and everything on the line.. Revenge will be that much sweeter..

2. I've never really hated the Giants.. I hate the Commanders.. I hate the Eagles.. I hate the 49ers.. I hate the Steelers.. But I've never really hated the Giants.. That is finally changing this year, and it has everything to do with Random Thought #3..

3. The Giants have more players on their team that I can't stand than any other team.. I actually made a Top 10 list of my least favorite NFL players (hey, I'm a list maker), and the Giants came in at #2 and #3.. Eli Manning (#2) is just an overrated whiny brat living off of his name.. Jeremy Shockey (#3) is just an overrated whiny brat with a big mouth.. Plaxico Burress is also becoming one of my least favorite players in the NFL.. and I used to think that Tiki Barber was a class act, but his actions and words over this season have made me dislike him as well..

4. I must admit that I do like Michael Strahan.. He is a pretty funny dude with a good attitude.. And that "Oh look-- big ol' Michael Strahan! How bout them Cowboys?!" commercial is one of my favorite commercials of all-time.. I also liked it when he was on The Best D*** Sports Show with Roy and he admitted that Roy was a better and more feared hitter than himself.. He gave a lot of love to Roy that day, and they seemed to be pretty good friends..

5. Tom Coughlin looks like he should be a dentist, an accountant, or an IT guy, but not at all a football coach..

Even if NY loses, it'll be a "first place showdown" because whoever wins will be in first place.

Even if they lose, it will be a first place showdown, as them beating us would put both teams at 7-5 nbut the Giants would have the tiebreaker. Although, a loss by NY tomorrow would downplay the signifigance of the game for Dallas, evcen if it is just slightly. If both teams are tied at 7-5 I still like Dallas's chances because we end the year with 4 games we should win, while the Giants have 3 very losable games remaining.

yes, but I will love the hype and buildup to the game if we are both 7-4 going into it, rather than the Giants stumbling in at 6-5, coming off of three consecutive losses, including one to the lowly Titans.. and if they do end up at 6-5, losing three in a row, they might have that "backs up against the wall, have to win" mentality that is scary to play against.. don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna shed any tears or lose any sleep if the Titans pull off the upset, but I just think that we are gonna beat them either way, and it would be that much sweeter if they came in with the same record as us..

You're crazy.

Love the competitiveness behind your wish, but there are too many tie-beating factors (like divisional wins) that can screw our pooch down the line. I'll feel more comfy with a nice two game lead on them after next Sunday.

Me neither..I was raised in a Jints house. But I have no trouble hating them two days a year, and some of their personnel 365.

But the Big Four - Greedy Manning, MeFirst Tiki, Classless Shockey and Whiney Burress...they're fun to hate.

Tom's one of the few Boston College coaches I could never take to....my ideal is Jack Bicknell. But Coughlin is Tuna Tree, so he has my regard. Got even more this week for slapping down Tiki.

funny story I gotta tell ya-- I'm an editor at Christian book publishing company.. anyways, I edited a book last week about the mafia, and the author kept referring to them as La Cosa Nostra.. I found out the entire history of the mafia (which I loved, because I am a huge Pacino, Godfather, Sopranos, etc, fan) and how the name La Cosa Nostra came about.. anyways, every single time I saw "La Cosa Nostra," I thought "La Tuna Nostra" because of you.. so I pretty much thought of you and that little Darren Woodson avatar throughout the entire editing process.. I spend way too much time on this website..

Giants have been talking a lot of trash this year specially after they beat us. with Philly and the Skins sucking it up I need a competitive division rival to hate

All that "balling" crap made me hate strahan so much more than I hate anyone else in the league. I felt bad for the guy when his wife was raking him over the coals but then that balling garbage started and I literally wanted to hit the moron in the face even if it meant he killed me I woulda hit him. I can't stand the friggin giants, I hate them more than any other team. The Commanders are a pathetic team with an idiotic owner and frankly I feel bad for them. It's almost like I see them as having an abusive father and just want them to get better. I hate Donovan mcnabb and I think the eagles are the biggest collection of goons in the league but at the same time I feel bad for em cause their fans have to be the biggest morons ever. I now hate the giants, no sympathy at all, shockey is a 10 year old boy with a paycheck and I would yet again hit that idiot in the mouth as hard as I could if he was in front of me. I am glad for eli making a payday and a half but I do pity him a touch for having to live up to the manning name and the fact is it won't happen. I wouldn't punch him unless he was being all whiny and then I might still hold off out of respect for peyton. But he is the only pass I would give them, I can't stand the arrogance or the whiny *** attitude of the remainder of that team. Coughlin was a parcell's guy so I can wish him well but not so much to out weigh my utter hatred for that entire ME FIRST team.

I haven't even been drinking maybe I am just bitter.
