Gregory was held twice in the SF game or might have had 3 sacks...Gardner was actually tackled on one play..no penalty of course...Love their hustle.
This defense could be fun to watch this year.
Geoff Swaim is pretty impressive as well.
Lane you and I have talked and I know you go way back as I do watching the Cowboys. I think this may be the best defense they have had since the 90's. Standouts like Gregory, Hardy, Lawrence, and other players like Gardner and Coleman ready to step up and make big plays. I remember when the Cowboys got Randy White and I was all happy and he helped lead another great defense for the Cowboys with Martin and Jones. Bob Lilly led the 1st great Dallas defense. Now is the time for another great Dallas defense. What do you say ?
i say ..hell yea!!

I have joked about Swaim, but he is looking really good and I really think he could be the TE of the Cowboys in the future.

He looks like a WR out there. Both looks (needs to get bigger) and in skill. Really good hands.
I remember a TE who excelled in getting open and making clutch plays. His name was Jay Novacek and he was a big reason Dallas won 3 Super Bowls back in the 90's.
I hate to be a pessimist but nobody looks good until that first game against the Giants.

Wonder why no one ever says, "I hate to be an optimist?"I hate to be a pessimist but nobody looks good until that first game against the Giants.

Me neither.
