Wow ........he played 14 games and had 1

If only he could have played 2 more games to get the other 10+.

I mean on a normal regiment and with starting playing time, Z. Even the numbers you cite include an injury-marred season and a couple games in his second year.

RG is being roasted for no reason. Just because he wants to get toasted ;)

Is he allowed to practice during training camp and play in preseason games?

He is a Cowboy in name only. He was looking at a 1 year suspension failed yet another and is banned. I seriously doubt he will ever play in the NFL. There is always Canada

He is either going to straighten up and make it back or he isn't. It's his call.

He is the best pure pass rusher even associated with our roster so I understand the interest by fans.

The real lesson I hope that is learned is that THIS organization stop taking gambles like this in Free Agency and early in the draft. This franchise does not have the support or leadership to handle these types of players.

If you have a talented player like this and you want to draft him on day 3 or sign him to a protected team-friendly deal, go crazy. Do not draft him in the 2nd round (Gregory) or sign him to an $11M deal (Hardy). Although Hardy's deal did have workout and per-game bonuses.

Maliek Collins a 3rd round rookie had 5 sacks 17 tackles 6.5 hurries in one year at the tackle position. ......... and zero suspensions.

Collins is a certified stud in the making, you'll get no arguments from me there, Z.

Still, he means nada in a RG discussion. RG would destroy his production, imo. Although, that statement may seem as a bit of a reach, considering those numbers came from a rook 3T. I'll concede that.

And that's just pathetic/sad.

It is and it is by his own doings. He knew what the situation was, he would say how he has learned and how he had changed and yet was only lying to himself and to his teammates. I hope he is able to get his life together.

I don't agree, BP. He needs his medicine and won't be waivered.

Then his career is over.

You may not like the rules, but it doesn't matter. Those are the rules. And if the players cannot live by those rules, they don't play.

Period.

I mean "sad" on the league's part. I'm sure you knew that, too. Don't be obtuse for purpose of being obtuse. Not if you want to have a discussion with me. If you do or don't, whatevs. Gregory is getting railroaded. Spare me all that moralist bulljive when it comes to a player smoking some damn weed.

You're smarter than that, 101.

Yup. Sad, imo. You clearly don't feel the same, RXP.

I'm not arguing whether or not his career is likely over. Just how pathetic it is that he's in this position while others, whom have done far worse, even for the "integrity" (for you wannabe-moralists) to the league, get to play.

Woulda? ....... coulda?......... shoulda?

He has never looked dominate ........... he moves hella fast around the corner and then gets nothing ....... he is simply not strong or aggressive enough to play up to his "potential" and he is smoking his time away.

He is fixing to be 25 years old ....... and has not gotten his ***** together yet ....... Demarcus Ware was considered old at 30 .......... he is running out of time and will be 26 before he gets another chance.

I patently disagree with this. He has looked dominant. Did you watch his first game in the NFL against the Giants? Before he suffered his high ankle sprain? Did you listen to Charles Haley, in camp during his rookie season, practically drool over RG?

He hasn't had a chance to produce due to disrupted seasons, Z. But boy has he flashed enough for me to consider him a wasted (by the league's antiquated rules) blue-chip prospect.

I'm not. I don't care what rule the league puts in fact is players are damn well aware of the rules and if they want to play in this league then they damn well need to abide for them. There are laws I don't agree with but I abide by them or deal with the consequences of it. When the league gets to a point they say it is ok then fine but until then I expect grown men to abide by a simple rule.

This has nothing to do with how you feel about weed it has to do with what the rules are. NFL gives the opportunity to make millions and all one has to do is avoid getting high to take advantage of this opportunity yet can't do it then it is his own damn fault. That is what is sad when a grown man can't control his own actions.

That is what's sad for you. What's sad for me is that this stud can't play because of a rule that shouldn't damned exist. Because he uses a plant for medicine. A plant that helps him and gives him zero competitive advantage over his peers. Just relaxation and an alternate to pharmaceuticals.

And it's perfectly fine for me to debate/argue that in relation to RG.
