1)A/1)B DE/DT - both have equal value as our highest need. Best player available among the DL should be two of our first three picks.
2) OG - it's time to not only have a strong offensive line, but also a deep one.
3) RT - I don't think Doug Free sees the end of his contract.
4) FS - We could have Ed Reed in his prime right now and it wouldn't matter with this front four.
5) OLB - Carter is going to get another year to prove himself and Holloman/Wilber both showed flashes. But in 2015, this position could potentially be as ugly as defensive line this year.
6) CB - We need to decide what coverage we are going to run and get the right guys.
7) WR - I would really like another tall end zone threat.
8) RB - We don't run enough for this to be a position of need.
9) QB - Too much money tied up in Romo with too many other holes. We will address it next year I believe.

I went 8 deep with mine and there are still pressing needs I left out like a WR to replace Austin as a backup to the starters outside and ILB depth for Sean Lee.

Needs?

At least two DT's.
At least one DE.
Another G.
A developmental QB.

Other areas? Sure. But I think the above three are most important at this point.

I would think that any picks will be assisted by whatever FA acquisitions are made (including "if any"); if we were a couple of players away, then the draft truly becomes BPA, and I think it still needs to be BPA with emphasis on specific positions, thus:

1) DT, DE
2) DE, DT, OL (based on value of OL remaining)
3) DT/DE (if OL taken in 2nd, otherwise OL/LB)
4) LB
5) S (or QB if Murray still lingering around)
6) (no 6th)
7) fill in the blanks with WR, DL, OL, CB

Not to be taken: TE

DT is a bunch of nobodies if Hatcher walks, and even if he somehow returns we need some young talent anyway.

FS, we trotted out Jeff Heath as our best option last year. He's not an NFL caliber player.

DE I'm not as down on if Crawford can come back healthy. Ware, Crawford and Selvie are an ok rotation but we can definitely use another young player there, especially if Ware truly is on his last legs.

I'm not sure enitrely about our situation at LB. Lee is great when healthy but unfortunately that seems to only be for half the year, Carter is trending down and was a disappointment last year after thinking he could be our playmaking Derrick Brooks type WLB. I'd love to add a playmaker here.

And I'm hesitant to mess with the OL because they looked great last year, but is that performance sustainable? Mack, Free and Leary played very well and deserve to come into this year as the guys, but wouldn't be a bad idea to continue bringing in some day 2/day 3 talent we can develop and groom as future replacements.

RB because Demarco is great but outside of him we get next to nothing production wise from the RB position. When he goes down we're not nearly as potent offensively because our other RBs are JAGs. If we can grab someone who can contribute with some carries and keep him fresh, but also shoulder the load if he's out, it would be nice. Plus, Demarco is entering a contract year and we'd be wise to protect ourselves.

SPEED on offensive side of the ball (wr/rb type player)

Last two choices are luxury picks, the others I consider necessities.(though a QB is borderline considering Romo's age and recent string of back injuries.)
