Ranked 25th in sacks

It's kinda simple actually.
Talkin about this year, Gary ain't Micah and EZE ain't DLaw.
Not even close.
Those previous 2 players' production is surely missed off the edge.
Just remember scheme and coaching will only get you so far with inferior talent.

But when you really break it all down...
The team did not win WITH those guys either.

So the vicious Cowboy GroundHog Day movie keeps running going into its 31st year now.

Cowboys!

Dallas with 35 sacks last year ranked 25th out of 32 and frankly I thought they ranked lower until I looked it up . Clowney with 8.5 led the team and i have no doubt he led with pressures . Considering Bailey and Bain should be gone by pick 12 this is what Dallas faces .

In years past I remember forced picks for need at EDGE or what was referred to back then Defensive END and that’s a recipe for disaster .

Love the two pick ups at DB from the Rams they should be a big help and the Cardinal safety plus Rashan Gary excellent upgrades .

At 12 I guess BPA is the smartest course but I would think with double ones you have to come out of this with an EDGE in this 3-4 scheme Parker implementing . Anyone in the draft anyone like first round given Bailey Bain probably gone ?
Keep an eye on Cashius Howell. Texas A&M. 6'2". 250 . Doesn't have the long arms everyone gets excited about but he's got ELITE first step quickness, athleticism and bend. He's an ideal, productive pass rushing 3-4 OLB

I can’t figure out why Zion Young the Missouri EDGE isn’t rated higher . 9 sacks on a middle of the road team meaning he was probably getting chipped and he’s stout plays the run well at 6’6 260 . At 20 depending on who’s available he may be a steal
He’s quality. If he doesn’t go in the first round he’ll be gone early in the 2nd. His DUI in December didn’t help his value. Someone is going to get a great player.

Might make sense at 20 . Dallas has to come out of the draft with more talent at EDGE

I saw 2 different new mocks on tv today that had the Cowboys taking Bain at 12.
I don't know if it is a smoke screen or what but I have done a 180 on Bain. History says Bain and his short arms will not be successful in the NFL. I think if there is one player who could drop in this draft it will be Bain. I love everything else about him, but NFL tackles almost all have long arms and I worry Bain won't be able to compete against them.

Imagine what the sack ranking would be if Clowney didn't get 4.5 of his 8.5 sacks the last two weeks of the season.
