Below is a chart of the Cowboy's top 40 prospects (anyone with 3 years of experience and less), and their rankings based on three categories: Reward/Risk/Current.

Reward: This measures how much potential the player has. A score of 10 means the player's ceiling is an All-Pro. A score of 5 means the player's ceiling is an average starter. A score of 1 means the player doesn't belong in the NFL.

Here's a scale to give you a better idea of the ratings:

10 - All-Pro, the best at his position.
9 - Elite, one of the best at his position.
8 - Good, should earn a pro bowl berth or two.
7 - Above average starter.
6 - Solid starter.
5 - Average starter.
4 - Below average as a starter, solid back-up.
3 - Below average as a back-up, 3rd or 4th string.
2 - Practice squad material.
1 - Doesn't belong in the NFL.

Risk: This category determines how much of a risk that the player does not live up to his potential. A score of 10 means the player is highly likely to fail. A score of 1 means the player will likely succeed.

Current: The player's current value as an NFL player.

This guy could be one of the best WRs in the league?! The Lions should have taken him instead of Calvin, Wow!

Nice work. May be a bit rosy on a few of the projections, but nice post nonetheless.

Sarcasm without thought. Four mentionables:

a) You ignored the term 'Projected contributor, a Few Years Away'. I'm sure that even some of your fellow Commanders fans comprehend that Calvin Johnson will contribute from jump, while expecting that Stanback will not.

b) You also ignored both his designated score of 9 and it's applied definition of...

Risk: This category determines how much of a risk that the player does not live up to his potential. A score of 10 means the player is highly likely to fail. A score of 1 means the player will likely succeed.

c) Likewise, you ignored his 'current' score of 4 and how it applies on a scale of 1 to 10.

d) Stanback's Washington Huskies highlights have obviously flown under your radar.

It'll be interesting to see if your little jokey-joke doesn't come back to bite you in the *** in a few seasons. :)

He also could be a huge flop: risk -9.

I'll bet Calvin Johnson did not grade anywhere a 9 in the risk column.

Edit: You put it so much more eloquently DE. Great job to you and Jbell.

Alrighty! Let's just put every long shot prospect as a reward 9, risk 9, then.

If you were a baseball player instead of a poster and your posts were times at bat, your batting average would be .000 right now.

He certainly has the size and the speed to be a great WR. I have no problem with the reward as a 9
